| Everything was set up neatly, perfectly. Everything one would need for a small house party Vincent had set up in his large living room. He even had a couple plates of fancy food set out on one of the side tables. Fancy little cucumber sandwiches, macarons, fancy coffee drinks, wine. It was great really. If he was having a house party.
This couldn't even be considered a party. All that he was doing was introducing the only two people he cared about in all the worlds. His two closest companions. Vincent really liked his appearances though. He took pride in being a great host, so he put too much effort into everything.
But on the bright side, what could possibly go wrong? The nice environment should give the room a nice atmosphere. He even set out extremely strong scented flowers. Okay, that was overboard, even for him...
All of this setting up, and appearance making was his way of ignoring the worry in the back of his head. What if Noah tries to scare Calcifer? What if Calcifer snaps and strangles the boy or something. What if they simply don't like each other?
That would be the worst case scenario. Oh, how could I live in a world where they didn't like each other?! I don't know what I'd do with myself... He wanted them both around often. If they didn't get along, Vincent would have to make sure they weren't around each other much. It was more work, and depressing to think about.
The violet haired man double checked the position of all the flowers in one of the vases before checking his watch again. 2:55 P.M. 5 minutes until they were supposed to have their little, whatever this was. No one was early, and that was both a blessing and worrisome. Vincent crossed the room and sat down in one of the comfy chairs near the large windows. Counting backwards from 300. drumming his fingers on the arm of the chair, waiting. Was Vincent nervous? He felt nervous. This was an unusual feeling, and he didn't quite like it. He put his fist against his mouth and closed his eyes. Still drumming his fingers against the chair with his free hand.

THE AIR IS TORTURE INSANITY, THE ILLUSION OF IGNORANCE Calcifer was feeling a little bit nervous. In no way shape or form was this the first time he'd been nervous, but usually he didn't feel this way when going to one of Vincent's set up parties. He loved it when Vince hosted little get togethers. And of course Cal had always been invited as the Assistant Host. If he wasn't part of the actual conversations then Cal had usually been there to wait on the groups of people while Vincent had chatted with them. This time he brought some sweets with him. Cookies, made specially in his tea shop. His own recipe of course. Everything that he made was absolutely perfection. So he thought he would be generous and bring some of his perfectly made cookies. He stood in front of the door leading into Vincent's own home and stared at it. He was about 10 minutes early. He knew that Vincent hated to wait. He knew that it made him nervous too. But... Something was making Calcifer nervous and instead of knocking on the door He stood and stared at it. "Just knock on the stupid door Calcifer. What are you waiting for, anywhere is better than just standing here watching you watch a white door." Alice said. Beside her the Hatter nodded, but he was much less of a jerk about it. "You shouldn't worry too much about this Noah person. He's not trying to take your place. He doesn't even compare to your clever mind Calcifer. Just try to see why Vincent's such close friends with him." Both Cal and Alice turned to Hatter and stared at him with dumbfounded expressions on their faces. "Since when were you an advice giver? You crazy bastard." Said Alice with an attitude and The Hatter simply raised an eyebrow at her, a grin forming on his face. "Besides, Cheshire thinks that he may be a spy for the Jabberwocky." Calcifer shook his head in disbelief. "You should just stop talking while you're ahead Hatter. Thats a ridiculous notion and you know it. The Cheshire cat is crazier then all of us put together and couldn't possibly know anything about Noah. Besides, Noah's from Halloween Town. Not Wonderland."Then with that he patted down his shirt (being one of his more casual, although with Cal nothing is simply casual), and then he reached up with his hand and rang the doorbell, with three minutes to spare. "From Halloween Town and not from Wonderland... Wouldn't that make it even more apparent? Why wouldn't the Jabberwocky use spies from Halloween Town? Its close enough to Wonderland in it's insane ways. Just think about it Cal." The Hatter said tapping on Calcifer's shoulder and whispering close to his ear. Calcifier didn't respond except to lower his eyes in thought. What if... Nah... Thats ridiculous.Vincent Kammerer & Noah Thorne
