I WALK A LONELY ROAD, THE ONLY ONE THAT I HAVE EVER KNOWN. DON'T KNOW WHERE IT GOES, BUT IT'S HOME TO ME, AND I WALK ALONE. I WALK THIS EMPTY STREET, ON THE BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS. WHERE THE CITY SLEEPS, AND I'M THE ONLY ONE AND I WALK ALONE. MY SHADOW'S THE ONLY ONE THAT WALKS BESIDE ME. MY SHALLOW HEART'S THE ONLY THING THAT'S BEATING. SOMETIMES I WISH SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL FIND ME, 'TIL THEN I WALK ALONE. | [attr="class","narnia"]Traverse Town... What a peaceful place he walked through. This was a place that he would come to when he needed time by himself. Not that he could see it with his own eyes. He wished he could. Traverse Town had been one of his favorite places to be. Especially in the third district, it was the calmest and quietest of the three districts.
But this time wasn't about calm relaxation. This time he was here to meet someone. To make contact with one who was no one. With one of his kind. The others in his group had come into contact and said that it was nearly impossible to grab the thoughts and wishes of the girl who lived here. He decided to take on the challenge. Not that he cared. But it was what the others expected and this girl intrigued him. Though whether she decided to come along with him or not Alyxx couldn't care any less. If she wanted to come, then she could. If she didn't then Alyxx would leave her alone. Of course he wasn't going to just ask and leave, he would try for the sake of the Organization, but if she didn't seem worth it he would leave without complaint.
Right now he was simply standing above and beside the water fountain, seeming to peer down at the courtyard with a calm smile on his face and a chill atmosphere. He could see after all. While there was no real sound being spread through out the clearing, Alyxx could just hear the very soft buzzing of the flickering lights. This gave him a justified image of what the area looked like, even though he couldn't actually see the scene itself.
He was a very patient man. This assignment wasn't one of his usual gigs, but it was nice to get a vacation for once, despite his constant moving around and delegations. She would come when she came. And he wasn't going to rush anything about this. Besides, the leader didn't say he had to rush home anyway. |

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Hel walked along the alleyways of the 3rd District, glad to be back in her home turf; sure, there were still heartless here to clear, but at least she knew her way around. As she walked back towards her base, she reveled in the near-silence; only her own footsteps could be heard over the gentle hum of the lanterns. She listened as her own footsteps echoed back to her. This area had always been quiet. Most people stuck to the first two districts, where there were guards, and safety in numbers. But Hel preferred the silence, the solemn quiet of the night. This was her territory, the place she owned. She didn't have any particular feelings for it, per se, but she did value it; a place where she didn't have to be on constant guard from enemy attacks. Where she could relax, just a little bit. Hel stopped as she stepped into the courtyard. It was quiet here...it always was, but tonight there was a strange feeling to the silence. It was almost...expectant. She became sure she was being watched. Without moving from where she was standing, her eyes scanned the shadows of the courtyard; left and right. "I know you're there. Nice try, but your not nearly as subtle as you think you are." Hel bluffed, acting like she knew where the watcher was. She didn't see him (or perhaps her?), but she had no doubt that they could hear her. She crossed her arms disaprovingly, using the motion to disguise drawing her knife, just to be safe. "What brings you to my neck of the woods? And don't waste both our times with the cliche 'you did' answer: what are you intending to get from this excursion?"Hel paused for a moment, listening intently for the sound of motion. Where could they be watching her from? She had commited to pretending she knew where they were; if she turned her head to look around, she would reveal her bluff; she was risking the lie just by looking around with her eyes, but she trusted that she had the distance that they couldn't tell where she was looking. They definately weren't in the courtyard with her; none of the shadows were deep enough to hide someone. So they must be in one of the buildings, or side paths. But where? There were too many openings to cover all at once! [OOC: She is assuming he's standing at ground level, which is why she's failing to notice the man standing above her] @hel | words | muse | notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

Light steps, calm purposeful steps. Intriguing. So she had a goal did she? He wondered what it was that kept her driven. He could already tell that she was a stubborn soul. When she entered the courtyard he listened to her movements carefully. She had hardly stepped into it before she noticed his presence. Well, at least she was perceptive. That was a brilliant trait in an organization member.
"I know you're there. Nice try, but your not nearly as subtle as you think you are." At her voice he raised an eyebrow curiously. Funny, as he wasn't even hiding from her. He was simply high above her. Not that he was attempting to scare her or sneak around. He didn't need to. Hiding would be a cowardice thing to do. He was a capable being. He didn't know her, but he could already tell that she would defend herself with her life if so needed. Which she wouldn't, for Alyxx certainly didn't care to get rid of her. She wasn't a threat to him after all.
She tried bluffing. Sadly, He knew the truth. He also knew she may become embarrassed when he revealed his true location. Though that may make her upset, she could possibly grow a little bit more respect for him instead of pity for his lack of courage. But honestly, he didn't need her respect. He had enough of it on his own. "What brings you to my neck of the woods? And don't waste both our times with the cliche 'you did' answer: what are you intending to get from this excursion?"
"Ah... You caught me." He said from above with a chill, relaxed voice and smile. "Not that I was trying to hide from you. Simply waiting would be more accurate I suppose. And I'm here because you intrigue my underlings. If that is easy enough to believe. So I too became intrigued, If thats alright with you. I had no intention of intruding. I simply wanted to meet you for myself." |

Hel's head snapped to where it was coming from. Above her. Hel mentally cursed herself for not thinking to look up. Feeling more confident, now that she knew where her visitor was, she stepped toward the fountain, stopping at a distance that was close enough she could close the remaining gap wihout having to worry too much about if he was a ranged fighter, but far enough back she could watch him without craning her neck back. He hadn't been hiding? Well, standing there above the fountain, he couldn't have been, unless he teleported up there. Still, not the normal place for one to stand. Not hiding, huh? Well you could have fooled me, standing up there where most people wouldn't notice you." Hel could tell from his tone of voice, his posture, that he had already seen through the earlier bluff, but she wasn't about to just admit she had messed up. If he pressed it, then that just meant he felt a need to put her down. Which made him hostile towards her, regardless of any claims of peace. She intrigued his underlings? So he was someone in charge? An authority? Well that was just great...shown up by an authority figure...but intrigued? That wasn't an acusing word, was it? It had something to do with interesting. He asked if it was ok he was 'intrigued'? What would he do if she said it wasn't? "You have underlings? Who are you? Both as in your name, and as in your 'intrigued' group? You want to meet me? Well congradulations, you've met the one and only Hel. Now what?"Intrude. There was another one. This man really liked fancy 'in' words. Hel would have to devote some time to improving her vocabulary at some point; this was twice now she'd struggled to keep up with what someone was saying...So 'intrude' sounded like 'intruder', which she was pretty sure was a word for someone going where the authorities said they shouldn't. Again, he was apologizing? He didn't look like he considered her a threat. The difference between his confident pose and his...weak? there was a better word, she was sure, but she didn't know it...words was confusing. Did she have the strong ground here or not? It was her territory; he had the high ground. She had a knife in her hand, hidden in the fold of her arms; he could have a concealed weapon just as easily as she had. She had been caught in a bluff; he spoke like she were his better. But he was an authority of some sort, so that was crap-tastic news. She watched him for his response. @hel | words | muse | notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

Well you could have fooled me, standing up there where most people wouldn't notice you." Alyxx let out a soft amused sniff. Not that it bothered him, but it certainly was at least admirable for having a comeback on the fly. He wasn't offended though, and actually saw how she might have seen it that way. He decided it may be less intimidating if he wasn't standing above her as opposed to standing level with her. So he began to walk the simple path way down behind the walls behind the fountain and then to the ground where she could see him better. Not that it mattered either way to him. As long as he could still see the world around him shown by the humming of the lamps and the bouncing of the woman's voice.
"Better?" he asked with his hands behind his back. He hadn't bothered to put his hood up over his face. He didn't want to scare her away after all. "All I want to do is Talk Hel. My name is Alyxx, and I'm the second in command to the organization of Nobodies. And from what I've been told, you are quite the character." He shrugged and walked over to the fountain and kneeled beside it to slip his fingers into the water. The cool sensation was useless against his skin. He could feel it, but it gave him no pleasure what-so-ever.
"I'm gonna push you in if you don't come over here Axyl. Seriously I wanna show you something."
"Don't be silly.... That will end in both of us getting wet and you know how... will feel about that. He'll kill us both."
What? Other then that thought, there was nothing in his posture or his expression that changed. And even if there was he wasn't facing her anyway, so she wouldn't see a twitch of his smile, or a blink of the eyes. But he did pull away from the water. He was done with the random flashes. |

He was giving up the high-ground? So she was the one in control here? He was definately making subtle peace offerings, along with the claims. But could she trust them? She could trust them enough to let the man continue talking, for now at least. "Hmph. Yeah, better..." Again he claimed that all he wanted to do was talk. Alyxx. At last she had a name for him. Aside from Trouble, at any rate. He was...second in command of his 'intrigued' group? Damn. He was exactly the kind of person she didn't like dealing with... That was when Hel noticed his eyes weren't on her. In fact, they weren't on anything. He's blind? Their second in command is blind? Pencil Pushers, the lot of them! Hel wondered how he found his way down the stairs if he couldn't see them. But if he was blind, then there was no point in trying to hide the knife; either his other senses had already found it, or he wouldn't be able to tell she was armed anyway. Hel relaxed her stance somewhat, keeping her arms crossed, but not bothering to keep the knife out of sight anymore. He was still talking. What had he said his group was made of? Nobodies? Weird...he didn't strike her as a nobody; he walked like he was somebody important, in fact. Hel pretended she understood what he meant. "Ok, so you have a gang, I'm a special interest, you're here to talk. So let's talk: Is this about your group trying to move in on Traverse Town? Obviously, you're from out of town; I'd recognize you, or at least your group, otherwise. So you'd either be taking territory from me, which I don't think you're stupid enough to try, or you're wanting a truce while you take down some shared foe?" Hel motioned with the dagger hand while she spoke, using the blade to point to non-existent bullet-points as she verbally worked her way through her points. Now that she wasn't trying to hide it, she had all but forgotten it was in her hand. "Only notable faction in this district other than me is the heartless. If you're hunting them, then I'm game." Hel made a mental note that she still didn't trust Alyxx, but he was clearly willing to play the part, and she was more than happy to use him until such a time as he revealed his true intent. SOMETIMES I WISH SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL FIND ME, 'TIL THEN I WALK ALONE. | [attr="class","narnia"]At the mention of a gang, Alyxx turned to face Hel with an amused smile, but he said nothing as she spoke and simply waited until she finished speaking. It wasn't difficult to tell when she was talking, While the Nobody body wasn't technically alive, it remembered what it was like to be alive and simply worked as if it really were. This meant that the inner circuits worked in the same way. Which meant that Hel would have to take even the slightest breath to speak something. He could also hear the swishing of the knife in her hand that kept moving as she spoke. He'd hadn't really noticed it before she revealed it. Seeing with sound wasn't always the easiest, especially for someone who seemed to have working eyes at one point. But he wasn't surprised feel it there.
Once she was finished speaking he brought his hand up and brushed it through his pitch black hair. Apparently she still didn't understand, but it was alright. He would explain to her the situation. But perhaps... Maybe it would be better if he did take it slow with her. If the org wanted her in the ranks it wasn't going to be possible to simply bring her in after one meeting. This girl was not one to trust after one meeting. Alright, if that was going to be the game they should play then perhaps a slower path towards that would be more appropriate.
"Ah, well, There is a heartless that the organization has found. A powerful one. I came to both ask for your permission to fight in your territory and for your assistance in vanquishing it. Our members are busy with multiple missions and this is a particularly difficult enemy. Not sure if you've sensed it since you've come back, its quiet new." He paused and lowered his hand to his side. "Of course, I have to admit... While normally I would just allow you to take care of it yourself, There is something that it has taken from me and I would dearly appreciate to have it back. It certainly is quite useful." |

It felt like he was laughing at her. He then brushed his hair back; definitely big-headed. Hel was tempted to take him down a notch, but he then explained he was hoping to hunt a big heartless in her territory. It stole something from him? Really? "This is the first I've heard of a heartless stealing anything other than someone's heart. What did it take from you that's so important?" Even as the words left her mouth, Hel realized that it was possible the man in front of her was like her; his heart removed by the heartless. Was it possible there was a group of such people? Hmm...That was an interesting line of thought, but now wasn't the place to hunt it down. That was a topic for a different day, after she knew more about this rival gang. Besides, it might be he was lying to he had an excuse to come with; see her in action. She might have tried the same thing, except it was a two-way street, and she preferred to spy at distance, where she didn't reveal as much. "Like I said before, I'm game for a hunt. I usually stick to nests over individual targets, but I guess your gang has the troops to not worry about numbers, am I right?" Hel was fishing for information here, but she figured it was the kind of thing he might give her even if he did catch it. After all, what harm could it do for her to know if they were big or not? And if he lied? Well, she was already assuming he was at best telling half-truths, anyway. But what he chose to say, lie or not, revealed plenty on its own. "Speaking of which, you didn't say what you're groups' name is...?" While Hel waited for an answer expectantly, her mind reviewed what he'd said earlier: 'I don't know if you've sensed it yet'. Sensed. Not discovered. Not Found. Sensed. Interesting...She didn't ask, because that would be revealing just how empty her hand really was right now...but she had a suspicion that asking him or another member of his group was going to be the only way to learn what that meant... What did it take from you that's so important?"
Alyxx shrugged, "Lets just say this item has some importance to me and that its imperative I get it back as soon as possible." With that he pointed toward a colored door with a large flame on it. "If you haven't been behind that door, then I suppose it would be time you did. Its where I found my target likes to hide. It does have a flame-like touch to it I suppose."
"Like I said before, I'm game for a hunt. I usually stick to nests over individual targets, but I guess your gang has the troops to not worry about numbers, am I right?"
"Yes, I suppose you could say that. We are larger then ten I would say. But smaller then twenty. However, there are plenty other worlds to... defend I suppose you could say. The heartless go where they please and that both pleases and displeases the Organization. Which is what the group is simply called. The Organization. We are a group of Nobodies having lost our hearts at varying times to the heartless and are also scientists seeking the world of Kingdom Hearts."
Then he stopped and closed his eyes thoughtfully. Once again his hand lifted itself to his hair and combed through it. He hadn't noticed before, but it seemed to be a habit he had developed over time. He wasn't sure if it was something he'd had in his past life or a habit he had formed more recently. Well... Now it interested him. Not that it was important at this very moment in life.
"To be honest, its a little personal, if you'd like to call it that. This hunt. I have been on the tail of this heartless ever since it was first detected, but it continues to elude me. I suppose it is because it stole my main source of weapons..." He said.

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Hel tilted her head as Alyxx explained that it was urgent, without actually explaining anything. "If you say so." Hel shrugged like she wasn't concerned. In truth she suspected that she would find out the truth of the matter before the night was done. After all, could he really hope to keep her from seeing him grab something that had been taken by the heartless? As Alyxx pointed to the door, Hel let out a bark of a laugh. "You mean to tell me you know where the target likes to lurk and you still can't catch him?" Hel began walking towards the door. "Flame-like touch? As in it looks a touch like flames? Or as in it has a touch-based flame power? If we're going to hunt this thing, you might as well share what you have on it's abilities." Hel wondered about calling Eliza for data collection; she was much better at that sort of thing than Hel was. But it wouldn't do to show her hand just yet. Especially given she hadn't vetted Eliza very thoroughly yet. Hel nodded understandingly as Alyxx explained his Organization's numbers. More than 10, less than 20. He was being clever now. She knew he was holding information back, but now he was telling her he knew she knew, and he didn't care if she did. How frustrating. "Oh, yes. Plenty of worlds out there. Some easier to claim than others...at least at first glance. But there are always monsters in the shadows, Hidden till they're threatened." Hel nodded sagely, her double meaning ringing more in tone than in her actual words; 'I don't care that you know; Don't underestimate me'. Hel stopped and turned, seeing the man brush his hair back yet again as he stood there. Personal? Hel understood personal. Was that what this was? If so, he was taking a big blow to his ego to come to her, a stranger and potential competitor, for help. His source of weapons? Now she was very curious. Stepping up to the door, and placing a hand on it, but not yet opening it, Hel raised an eyebrow. "Your 'source' of weapons? How interesting. I hope you're not telling me it grabbed a forge and carried it off to this world. That's almost too silly to take seriously." Hel knew her words were a break of character from their earlier discussion, and compared to his admission that this was personal, he may take it as an insult. She didn't care if it hurt his ego. "Can this heartless use the weapons this 'source' makes? If so, you had better tell me about them now, rather than later." Hel waited emphatically for an explanation. ALYXX | words | muse | notes
