There was no lights or sounds when Karis materialized in Radiant Garden. One moment she was running through her camp, trying to stay ahead of the Hatoresu, she had managed to evade the beasts and sought the advice of her ancestor. There had been a light emanating from the ancestral spirit, one that grew brighter as the Hatoresu crept closer. All of a sudden, Karis saw new scenery around her; buildings instead of cave walls, paved streets instead of brown dirt.

The sounds around her were no longer the sounds of battle, the screams of a massacre. Instead she simply heard the sounds of people going about their daily lives, as if they had no idea of the dangers that lie outside their world. Karis now knew though. And she needed to learn more. She began walking away from the spot she appeared in, no one seemed to notice her, even though she was severely overdressed for the weather in this world.

Not long after she began walking, Karis hit someone. She was lost and turned around quickly, unaware of the person walking behind her. "Hey watch it!" She all but yelled at the guy after she walked into him. In her mind she was blaming whoever this fool was despite the fact it was her fault.
