I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► She stood in the ballroom inside the massive castle. The long deep hallways empty and silent. While it was a twisted building that had brought her home world so much pain it was also so very beautiful. If she had gone down a few more hallways she would stand in front of the throne. But this was her favorite place. This was where she felt the closest to her father. The ballroom. Where he had brought her dancing on days that he spent only with her. But every time she came here, she felt alone. Alone and broken. Lost without her father. She'd tried everything. Gone out into the other worlds to protect them and she even tried to learn more magic, but all was failing. Should she have had become the apprentice of that darkened witch who knows what would have happened to the book. These days, after Kotako disappeared and their connection had been broken, she'd become weakened. Her protective magic being the only strong thing about her. It wasn't long though... now... If Kotako didn't come to claim her as his own, her own body would. The shaking had been getting worse. She didn't feel like running anymore. Not as much as she used to. She could feel the depression closing in on her, threatening to choke her. Solomon was so sweet to her. Always caring about her, always taking such good care about her. And she worried about Jack. The little feline wasn't at home much anymore. Preferring to go and explore more and more. She could feel the tears start to swell up again. What was she going to do with the book? She couldn't just leave it, while she died. Someone needed to take care of it. Her whole arms were shivering now, and it wasn't even cold in the castle. However, she needed to stay strong. For the sake of Solomon and Jack. She needed to be ohkay. Whipping away the tears was a bit difficult with the shaking of her fingers, but thats what she did. Then she fumbled with her sweatshirt zipper, and turned to leave the room.

| The violet haired man leaned against the doorway of the ballroom. He had slipped in as quiet as a mouse just moments before. He had followed Abigail into the castle from a distance. He came almost entirely alone. The only backup Vincent brought was his Dream Eater. He wasn’t planning on a fight, or really any sort of violence. At all. No, he wanted to chat with her a bit, convince the girl to just give him the book. Sure Lilith probably would have liked him to do more than just that, but he didn’t see the point.
After investigating her for a short time, and then seeing Abigail with his own eyes, Vincent Pitied her. She was young, and quite frankly, was going through her own personal hell. There was also nothing entertaining or worthwhile in continually kicking someone while they were down. Especially a young girl. Vincent felt he was very above doing such things. Her end would be upon her soon enough, regardless of whatever Vincent could do.
When Abbi turned in his direction, Vincent called out to her with a rather smug grin on his face. His dream eater sitting next to him, staring at her. It seemed rather excited to be let out of the house for once.
“Hello Abigail~. I’d hate to interrupt your alone time, but there is something important we need to discuss. ” He tried to sound more casual, than business like. After all, this wasn’t an office meeting or anything. No he was going to try and convince her to give him something important to her. Or at least, Vincent guessed it would be.

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► When she looked up from zipping up her sweater as she was heading across the enormous room a voice and sight caught her attention. She gasped and stumbled back in shock even before she got a good look at the other visitor. She didn't fall this time, thank goodness, but she did nearly trip and she had to gain her balance once again before she could turn back to the man who had spoken. She could feel her heart racing rapidly, and she was sure that the strange man could hear it too. But that was ridiculous thinking. Realizing that her hands were still shaking she slipped them into her sweater pockets. Hoping that they would hide whatever it was that was going on with her body. Before answering him she studied him, peering at his likeness from behind her long green bangs. Her eyes were sharp, wary of him. She took in his clean violet bangs and those crisp crimson red eyes. The demeanor in which he held himself and the expensive clothing he wore were more of a red flag to her then his little pet was. The fear was apparent within her own eyes. "H-how do you know my name... Who are you?" She asked, trying to sound authoritative, but failing miserably with the shaking that could be heard within her own voice.

Vincent let out a small laugh, before sharking his head.
“Now now, there’s nothing to be scared of. My name is Vincent. And I’ve been keeping an eye on you for quite a while. Well, at least, some of my friends have…” he said calmly before standing up straight, smoothing out the front of his jacket. Of course he expected to startle the girl. Not many people reacted well to someone sneaking up on them like that. Especially a girl in Abbi’s condition.
She was alone and weak. Regardless of how much Vincent’s entire being screamed wealth, it was probably much much more alarming for someone like him to sneak up on her. Like why in the world would someone like him be in a place like this.
“Before I continue even more, I want to make it clear that I have absolutely no intention of harming you. It would do no good for me, at all. If anything, it would make everything more difficult and unnecessarily long. Regardless of what some people might want...” He waved a pampered hand dismissively. Scaring magic wielders that may not have full control over their powers was never a smart move. Especially for someone like him who could barely do simple spells. Then again, he never tried to learn any magic. he never felt inclined to do so.
Vincent decided to take a few steps towards Abigail after his little disclaimer. His pet wandering after him. Glancing between her and its owner curiously. It didn’t seem as alert or defensive as before, mostly because of the calm sounding conversation. When he figured he’d come close enough to the witch without being too close he stopped.
“Anyways. Back to the main reason I’ve come to speak with you. There is something in your possession that I require. As well as some other things I need you to do for both of our safety if this goes smoothly.” He kept a rather calm and casual posture. Trying to be as less of a threat as possible. He also needed her comfortable. People are so much more receptive to charm and persuasion when they’re comfy.
Of course, the chances of Abigail getting completely comfortable around him were practically nonexistent, what with him cornering her while she was alone and all that. But he wanted her to be somewhat calmer. Somewhat less worried and tense.

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► “Now now, there’s nothing to be scared of. My name is Vincent. And I’ve been keeping an eye on you for quite a while. Well, at least, some of my friends have…” he said before pulling away from the doorframe and dusting himself off. She took a step back but didn't move any more. She was determined not to fall into panic. She was determined to gain the upper hand should it come to a fight, and she could feel her adrenaline start to expel. “Before I continue even more, I want to make it clear that I have absolutely no intention of harming you. It would do no good for me, at all. If anything, it would make everything more difficult and unnecessarily long. Regardless of what some people might want...”At the mention of what other people might want Abigail stiffened. Her body went cold and still. Even her shivering hands stopped. There were only two people she could think of that wanted her harmed or worse. Lilith... The Damn witch. And Kotako, the Damn Chicken. And her mind flashed to two different scenarios. This man could either be here to trick her, despite saying that he wasn't here to hurt her. Or he could be here to protect her. Why else had he been watching her from afar. Had Solomon felt the presence of his "friends?" When he started to move toward her, she didn't move away. Instead she watched him closely now. Her eyes cold for the time being. Daring him to get too close. She still had yet to decide whether or not he worked for her. Or had been put up to this. Why would he even care about someone like her? Then he stopped in front of her, just out of sword reach. Made sense. He didn't look like a magic user. He didn't want to get zapped or stabbed. “Anyways. Back to the main reason I’ve come to speak with you. There is something in your possession that I require. As well as some other things I need you to do for both of our safety if this goes smoothly.”Possession? He meant the book. She stiffened. But when he said safety she couldn't help but stare at him. Too many times had she been tricked. How did he knew about the book? He shouldn't know about the book. She hadn't moved it from it's hiding place since her father died and he barely moved it either. How did he know about the book? "Do you work for that witch?" She asked. That was her main concern. She didn't want the witch to have it. Didn't want her to be in control of the beautiful world inside. "I won't give you anything if it's going to be given back to her."

“Work for? No, no. I work for no one...” Vincent shook his head. His tone and expression turning much more serious. In fact, he almost looked offended for a split second that anyone would ever think he wasn't a boss.
Lilith may think that he’s under her thumb. But that wasn't the case. He saw her more as a business partner of sorts. Of course, he wouldn't bring that up to her. No he was more secure pretending to be lesser. Safer in some aspects.
“I’m not going to give her anything. I want the book for myself. And myself alone.” He said in a rather hushed voice. As if he didn’t want anything or anyone else to hear just what he was telling Abigail. He was almost entirely sincere as well. The only thing he was going to bring back to Lilith was information. Just that he had the book in his possession and Abigail had been dealt with. Nothing more nothing less. Which still pretty much completed their little deal. Maybe not as sweetly as one might hope.
Speaking of Abbi, the girl was just as wary of him as he had expected to be. In fact, maybe a bit more. She seemed to figure out almost immediately who could have possibly put him up to this. The information broker wasn’t sure if he should be impressed or not. He really didn’t know much about the girl, so it was a hard situation to judge.
Vincent continued to keep his distance, shifting a bit on his feet. Though his dream eater leaned forward a bit, sniffing the air around Abbi. Like a curious little rabbit. She wasn’t perfectly trained, but also had no reason to be defensive or offensive.

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► "Work for? No, no. I work for no one..." She peered at him from behind her bangs. Her eyes stern, distrusting, but not dangerously so. She was nervous. But if he were telling her the truth and all he wanted was the book for his own gain... Perhaps she didn't need to be so afraid. After all. Her magic would protect her should anything dangerous happen. It had done so for this long. “I’m not going to give her anything. I want the book for myself. And myself alone.”She felt herself relax slightly from her incredibly tense position. How did he find out about the book and what would he do with it? Again she studied him. Her eyes wondering over his appearance loosely, searching for anything that might be a clue. She felt strange for not knowing who he was. With an appearance of such importance, having come here personally to see her. On his own it looked like. Who was he? Her eyes flicked down to the little dream eater that followed him at his feet. A gentle smile formed on her lips and she cleared the small gap between her and vincent carefully, before she leaned down into a crouch three feet away. "Do you like magic?" She said softly, her fingers being pulled out of her jacket pocket. She exposed them to the bunny-like dream eater, showing just how empty they were before she moved one hand over to dust off her shoulder, and then used the other to do the same. Then, moving her hands out in front of her once again she turned one into a loose fist and used the other hand to pull a small carrot out of the whole she was making at the top with her thumb and index finger. The very real carrot now in her hand, she glanced up at Vincent, but without a word cautiously offered it out to the dream eater to take if she wished to and if her owner said it was alright. As she waited she spoke again. This time it was to Vincent. "The only possession I have that would be important enough for you to personally come to ask me for would be my book. Everything else I have would be of very very little importance to a man that looks and acts like you. Assuming you already know about the world within it, I'll tell you what it's like. It's peaceful. Beautiful. The people there are Naive about the universe except for what is brought to them. Because of it's link to me, the Darkness cannot touch it. I am it's guardian. Why should I give you the book, and what would you do with it should I agree to your... Offer... And what would I get in return for a book that is one of it's kind including the lives of real people?"

The dream eater tilted its head to the side curiously, watching Abigail as she moved closer. She was rather surprised by the girl getting down to her level. Vincent was also rather curious as to what she was doing with the pet. People rarely approached her for some reason. So it was nice to see someone finally interact with the rabbit. After all, she was rather social.
The dream eater scooted back a bit as it watched Abigail's magic trick with absolute wonder. It's eyes widened slightly, before quickly leaning forward to sniff the carrot. No doubt it was the real deal. The Dream Eater glanced up at it's owner before gingerly taking the veggie.
Vincent let out a small chuckle as it hopped around a few times in sheer joy. It was a rather adorable interaction. But it didn't take long for his mind to go back to the business at hand. The book, yes, right.
Peaceful and beautiful. Secluded too. It sounded like a little paradise. Free from all evil things. Vincent wasn't quite sure what he was going to do with the book once he had it. Well besides put it in a nice safe glass case. He didn't want to do anything that might taint said world. That would be a total shame.
In fact, maybe he could use it as a get away from time to time. When situations got rather rough. No darkness could penetrate it, so he'd be safe from quite a bit. Vincent tapped his chin thoughtfully. It did sound like a rather appealing use.
“It sounds marvelous. I plan on keeping the book safe, much like you do...Only, I also see it as being a possible temporary refuge. In case my dealings with the heartless go sour…. In return, I offer you safety.” Vincent said rather plainly. He didn’t think his dealings with Lilith would go sour anytime soon. But his current secret dealings with Ilmax might cause some very unwanted waves. Though in his line of work, it couldn’t be helped. He cleared his throat before continuing.
“It’s a known fact Lilith wants you out of the way. Probably dead….. However I have the power to make you disappear. Fall completely off her radar. You can live out the rest of your days in a cozy peace. I could even add in some extra security.” He brushed his bangs out of his face, keeping a more casual tone. This was bigger than his usual deals, a lot bigger. But this was also a much bigger prize. Not only the book,
but maybe he could also find a way to get this young witch on his side. Wouldn’t that be interesting? But anyways. This wasn’t a suit and tie meeting. This was a negotiation. A casual negotiation with a younger girl who seemed more than wary of him. So he was trying to be less uptight. And a tiny bit less dramatic than usual.

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► The little dream eater had actually lightened her mood a bit. Even though she didn't trust the man before her as far as she could throw him, she didn't feel... threatened at all. At least not for the moment. She watched the little bunny-like creature hop around excitedly with the carrot in her paws as she listened to Vincent speak. She smiled and then stood up. Her expression hardening, but not quite as sharp or upset as before. “It sounds marvelous. I plan on keeping the book safe, much like you do...Only, I also see it as being a possible temporary refuge. In case my dealings with the heartless go sour…. In return, I offer you safety.” She tensed at the mention of the word Heartless. Although she was not one to discriminate between the difference between a heart, a darkened heart, and no heart, she was cautious about those with darkened hearts and no hearts. So he was working with the Heartless after all. But... From the looks of the man standing in front of her, it seemed more like business deals than actual working under. She said nothing regarding the issue. She really didn't have to. “It’s a known fact Lilith wants you out of the way. Probably dead….. However I have the power to make you disappear. Fall completely off her radar. You can live out the rest of your days in a cozy peace. I could even add in some extra security.”"A known fact?" she muttered with a light breath. Who else knew that Lilith wanted her dead? Well... It didn't matter. Safety would be a big deal. Although she figured that the only "security" she would need would be Solomon. She really should stop running off on her own after all. There was a long pause as she thought over his terms. Security... Safety... Listen to him talk as if there was such thing. No... She needed to get stronger. But she couldn't find a teacher, and she didn't know if the shaking thing going on with her hands was really serious. "Thank you..." She said softly. "But if I could change those negotiations a bit? For a man as powerful as you, these requests shouldn't be too difficult. I... Could never live with myself if I just found some peaceful cottage to live in and just stayed there for the rest of my life... I would be restless and would feel absolutely useless." Abigail took a breath in preparation for what she was about to suggest. "I need to become stronger. This... Abigail could never become strong enough. My magic is weak and even when it isn't I can't control it. I need to protect the book, and myself, but you are also right... I need to disappear." She held out her slightly shaking hand in front of her, holding up three fingers. "One, I'd like stay near the book and continue to be it's guardian. Two, I want a new appearance. Too look different. I know people like you have ways of doing that. I will no longer be Abigail Parkinson. I will be someone else. To be hidden in plain sight. Three..." Her eyes began to waver and her voice trailed off. She paused for a long time before she lowered her hand to her side. "I'd like to see a professional medical doctor. I... I think... something's wrong... I think I'm going to... I've never told anyone... never. Please..." There was a pause once again, and then her voice got slightly louder and more desperate. "You... You don't know what it's like to live every single moment wondering if you're going to survive. Please. I want to know... Why my hand's are always shaking... Why I'm always so sad... Even when my friends try to cheer me up. Please... Please..." Tears had begun to stream down her cheeks and she was now hugging herself, her torso shivering as she spoke.
