Her dreams were never very pleasant when she had them. They were always intense and emotional. One reason why no one... Not even Nagi was allowed into the depths of her dreams. They were intimate. They were her own. And they could belong to no one else without her permission. They were both her deepest darkest secrets and her most treasured moments. Not even the snakes were allowed to peek in on her most inner feelings. This space was hers and hers alone.
Of course he didn't know that. He couldn't have known that, especially since she didn't know of his ability. She hated to sleep, and she didn't get much of it, but everything needed to sleep and that included the queen of the darkness. Even though it put her into her most vulnerable state of being. And she was absolutely paranoid about it usually. She would hide herself inside a room down below the Twilight Town. Way down below. With locks and spells hiding her from the rest of the world. Only one other person would have been close enough to intrude her mind.
These, Are some of her hidden nightmares on this special night.
____________________________________________
She saw him there. Lying on the floor desperate... So soon after the dramatic end of the Keyblade war she'd already found the first person she would try to manipulate into her own cause. It was better this way. He was at his weakest. He couldn't refuse her. He would become her servant, her slave forever and never be able to leave her side without her permission.
"I can give you life." She said softly into his ear. "You could live forever, with me in the darkness."
There was only a terrified acceptance in his eyes. She could see that he was in pain. A pain that he would never experience again if he simply so chose to die. But he did not. He quickly agreed with a simple word in her ear. "Please...." For he had not the strength to respond in greater length. This would be the first time she'd ever touched a heart as strong as his own. One that she would forever be connected to just as she claimed. And without knowing... It would cause her much pain.
____________________________________________
She kissed him again. It was deep. It was true, whether she herself wanted to believe it or not. She pushed him around and tested him and manipulated him. But she never told him just how much she truly felt about him. He was the only one. The only person that could make her feel this way. And yet... This was the only way she could possibly tell him that. Words would never leave her mouth not even for the one that was suspicious or curious.
Her hands cradled his face as she pressed her lips against his. Their bodies so close it certainly made the one she kissed nervous. She could feel him shaking. He would never verbally admit his fear and awe of her, but she knew. She knew it was there. In fact, she counted on it and fed off of it like a parasite.
Freeing him from her intimate death grip she pulled away from his face and lowered her hands onto his chest, keeping her body close to his as they stood there in the middle of a black rose garden, the sky above dancing with brilliant stars. They were both gently panting, gaining the breath that they had lost during their time of close contact.
He looked away from her, unable to meet her eyes. It was fine, she understood. She said nothing about it, only averting her gaze to his shirted chest. Using her long black finger nail, she softly began drawing circles. She felt him shiver, a cold spell slipping up his spine as she did so.
"I'm going to leave on a trip tomorrow." She muttered to him softly.
Distracted, he said, "Leaving... Again?" his was was soft, out of focus, almost as if he had barely just realized that she were speaking to him and not someone that stood behind him.
"Yes, I won't be long. I'll be back here by your side in a few short days. I just have to check on something. Will you wait for me Nagi?"
There was a hesitated pause from her underling. She could feel his heart beating very quickly. Like a little rabbit under her feet. He was completely under her control. Finally when he spoke his voice was quiet and whisperous, "As long as it takes."
Thats right. There was no other answer he could have responded with. She was too close to him. She was much to close to him to be allowed a lie.
____________________________________________
She wanted to scream. Wanted to rip the world apart. But even her snakes were suppressed and she couldn’t think clearly, which made it hard for her to do anything about it. She felt her own body shaking as she waited for that sharp pain to hit the center of her chest once again. She could hear his voice as he spoke to her. But she could not speak back to him. Her body would not move. She was no longer in control. And just like yesterday he would poke her with that needle that would allow him access to her darkness.
”Interesting…” Said his voice as she felt a slight pain in her chest. She gasped and couldn’t stop her shaking body from revealing her panicked expression. ”Its quite and intriguing find this time my dear.” He told her as she felt the needle pierce her skin. Normally something like this wouldn’t hurt. It wouldn’t bother her too much. Her fear enhanced the feeling by twenty, and every movement after that would be torture. ”Look at this my daughter of darkness. I didn’t know that you had the ability to reproduce. You are laden with child. Isn’t that interesting?”
Child? Child? She was pregnant? Where did that come from? How had that happened? NO no No NO NO! She couldn’t have a baby. No. She couldn’t bring life to a child. She was the queen of the darkness. She was…. A prisoner in the tube of a scientist. She couldn’t have a child… Not here. Not here.
Suddenly she felt the rush of an emotion that was not her own. it originated from where the needle sat in her chest and spread through out her body. Fear. Dread. However you wanted to call it. This was what she experienced through the tests of the maniac every single day. She felt it hit her stomach and her terror skyrocketed. Possibly her own… Possibly something that was created through the fake fear. She couldn’t tell anymore… But the next feeling she would experience was an intense pain that rippled through the inside of her body. Her body shook and flinched in response. No… No… She couldn’t have a baby… Not like this.
____________________________________________
They were dead… All dead… And she hadn’t even been the one to steal their hearts. She wanted to. She still wanted her revenge. But They were all dead. How could she have gotten revenge on those who were dead? But she did not have much time to think on that. She screamed. Every bit of her body in pain. The woman who sat next to the bed placed her hand on the queen’s shoulder, whispering sweet lies. But she ignored them. She was in too much distress to even care.
The labor was long. Long enough to wipe the darkened queen unconscious. She was still not at her full strength after her escape. That little… thing was a parasite. It sapped her strength like a tick. Eating from her darkness and feeding itself that way when she herself had no food. She could hear him screaming with that menace of a voice. It was familiar to her, but she ignored its familiarity in favoritism of the bitterness that was held in her own heart.
Finally he was cleaned and she was awoken. The tiny little parasite placed into her arms. It had to die. She had to get rid of it. She wasn’t a caretaker. She wasn’t mother material. She would only ruin it. It would only become as dark and twisted as her. And the pain it would endure would be her own and all her fault. Even she… The leader of the darkness, the queen of the world, was terrified for the little parasite that sat within her arms.
The woman and her husband left the room so that she could be with her child alone. This thing had no heart. He was like her… Purely darkness. The one thing that caught her attention about the child was his Bright violet eyes. They reminded her of one. One that she had called the name of during her times in the scientist’s tube very many times.
She stood up. Placing the shivering baby on the bed. Even with her energy so low, she just had to kill it. She couldn’t live with it and she wouldn’t raise it. No… Never. It couldn’t happen. She’d pulled out a dagger that she had. Raised it high into the air…
And once again peered into the eyes of the little parasite.
Instantly all her bitterness was eaten away. All her fear and doubts and pain cleared like clouds after a lightning and thunder storm. She could see and hear and think properly once more. And one thing had captured her heart. Those eyes. So she lowered the knife, donned a cloak and the two of them faded into the night like thieves in the shadows.
____________________________________________
Her eyes peered down into the clearing. She stood atop a building. Her heart hidden so that she wouldn’t be detected. She didn’t even need the snakes in her head to say a word. Her bitterness formed where a heart should have been. She watched intently as the man below her taught the young boy how to swing the long metal weapon that he held in his hand. It was obviously much too big for him and the idea was for him to grow into it.
”You didn’t wait for me… like you said you would…” She muttered to herself. Her eyes glistening in the sunset colors of Twilight Town. The boy that she watched was not her son. He could never be her son. But of course the man didn’t know about his real son. But he should have waited. That key was supposed to belong to her son. Not this somebody that had stolen it from him.
She didn’t go down to them. Rather she turned around at the mention of her own name. The boy that stood before her came to her side and complained dramatically about the light hurting his eyes… and something about them being too delicate to colors like the ones that surrounded them now. Twilight Town was her favorite place to be. She could live her for all of her days and never get tired of the lighting or the color scheme. She whispered to him to get over it and then began to walk away from the scene. Little did she know that her son had seen everything. Her son always saw everything.
___________________________________________
”What do you think you’re doing boy?!” She was furious. So furious that her eyes glowed red. ”I told you not to leave Twilight Town. You’re still not old enough and—“
”Mootheerrr…” Said the voice calmly. ”Relaax. I’m thirteen now. Life’s just staarrrting. There is so much to see and do. Can’t I explore? You said yourself. Hungry minds should be satisfied. There is nothing more to learn or see in Twilight Town. The universe awaits. Beeeesssiiides… Your kingdom isn’t Twilight Town. Your darkness shall spread across the universe. Why won’t you let me see? So I can assist you in your rise to power.”
She watched him. Her eyes staring into those beautiful black and violet ones. She could not deny their spell on her. No matter her reactions and behaviors towards him. He held her captive in a state of absolute control. She could never let go of him. He was her only shard left of what she had with that one person she’d known. He was the parasite that drained all of her emotions away. The one person that had gotten closer to her body then even that one face had. No one would ever come close to the importance that her son had to her. But she would never say that. How could she? How did she even express that?
Her eyes shifted down a couple shades back to their usual yellow. Then she looked away from him, her expression clearly upset but very blank at the same time. His voice spoke again. Attempting that charm of his to get exactly what he wanted. ”Mother… I’ll be fine. You taught me well and I’ll come back to you soon. All I want is to see the universe… How big could it possibly be? We certainly do have all eternity.” He laughed at his own joke. It was low, sadistic. Unsettling. All reminding her of him.

| JUST CAN'T STOP I CAME BACK HAUNTED NOW I'VE GOT SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO SEE. THEY PUT SOMETHING INSIDE OF ME. THE SMILE IS RED AND ITS' EYES ARE BLACK. I DON'T THINK I'LL BE COMING BACK | 0000 WORDS @tag notes i wasn't sure what he'd see in liliths' dream so i'll let you set the stage. sorry, the ending paragraphs are crap.
| Eyes closed. Arms dangling, swinging gently by their own weight. Scorpius hung from an iron bar strung crooked across the corner of his room, legs hooked over the cool metal at the knee. Opening his black eyes, he looked around, violet pupils darting this way and that, taking in the room upside down. Floor, ceiling. Ceiling, floor. Feathers pouring out from a slashed silk cushion and scattered on the floor like snow. Heavy black oak wardrobe - inlaid with silver snakes - tilted at an angle with one door hanging open. Clock bolted in sideways on the wall, weights grating on metal rather than hanging. Never told the right time. Scorpius chuckled and started to swing his body, back and forth. So long. So long since he went outside, since he tilted those headstones. Got in that little boys' head. Why did he cry? So many NICE things, Scorpius told him. Too long inside: almost two whole days. He wanted to smell the dust rising from Twilight Town streets and taste the thoughts of those Somebodies on the air. Fear. Desire. Happiness: such a funny taste. He liked happiness. When you broke it, it was sweet inside. Scorpius licked his lips, salivating.
Of course, he couldn't leave the house now.
Flipping himself over, Scorpius drew in his knees and fell, landing cat-like on his feet. Across the main hall hung with black stood the door to his mothers' room: carved and ornate, fit for a Dark Queen. Walking without a sound, Scorpius peeked in to check on his mother. Strange to see her so quiet. Motionless, like a corpse. Scorpius shuddered and crept inside. It made him lonely when she fell asleep. Rare happenings for the Queen. He slept often; three nights a week. Why didn't Mother rest? Just another thing about her that he didn't understand. Scorpius sat cross-legged on the floor by Liliths' bed and laid his head on her hand. Might as well sleep too. Sleep. Dream. Build a little dream. So sweet: he'd turn the world upside down. Lips parted to show rows of white teeth, Scorpius let himself fall into a dream.
He stood in a familiar place: white, flat ground beneath his feet, white everywhere. There was no way of judging distance, no horizon. The only thing in this blank space other than Scorpius himself was a single door, splintered and bent. Scorpius could never truly dream. Unlike most, he had to build dreams himself from the sky down, filling them with his own fantasies. Not once did something uncontrolled come welling up from deep, deep in his mind: too bad. No proper dreams. Oh, the Prince did love creating his own worlds, though. So vivid he could taste his own blood if he split his tongue. Smell the salt tang of sea water, and the green-thick smell of dandelion weeds and forest-rot. And the beasts he conjured up. A great Eye, nerve ends and veins dangling, black pupil dilating and contracting when he flashed a light at it. Sighing, he laid his hand on the door handle, glancing casually back. And he froze. There. Behind him... there was something NEW. Something unplanned. Unthought of. Another door.... smooth and cold like metal... padlock loose. Fingers trembling, reaching, Scorpius walked toward the new Door. He wrapped his hand around the knob, eyes unnatural bright. Turned the handle. Stepped inside.
As soon as he immersed himself in the new Dream, he knew that this was not his own mind. He could feel it. This place felt cold... like he was in cool, oily-sweet water. Cold and dark, and sharp along the edges. So dark. It swirled around him, ready to devour, to swallow whole. Scorpius breathed in deep gulps of it, but it set him trembling; the Dark did love to kill. Swallowing hard, Scorpius looked around him. Whose dream was this? As soon as he asked, the answer cut through. He knew this mind. Not as much he wanted to, but he knew it. Lilith. His mother. Scorpius found his way into the dreams of another mind.

The sky was dark with clouds dripping with the color of crimson red. The land was barren to waste. The grass hadn't even grown back yet. The stench of rotting flesh and thick sticky blood. The remnants of a brutal battle lay littering the ground, marking the land forever as a place that brings darkness and death. Weapons, mostly Keyblades, scattered across the site, most dripping with blood or sticking out of the bodies of other Keybladers.
While it was already an unsettling scene of black and red, there in the middle was the worst sight of all. She stood, hunched over, in the middle of the field. Her eyes black as night long lines of blood streamed from her the corners of her eyes as she laughed. It wasn't normal. No. It was the clearly unsettling laugh of one who was completely out of their mind. Completely lost within the darkness. Her darkened fingers spread across her face like a web, as if that were the only thing she could do to keep the madness from reaching the outside world. Too bad it wasn't working.
She wore the outfit of a female general in combat. Made of leather, it was clear that she would have to burn it because of how drenched it was in pure blood. In her hair there was a smeared hand, as if someone had tried desperately to kill her before she could kill them.
Almost as if on some unseen cue, she began to sob. The blood filled tears drenched and bleached her fingers. She cried so hard that she lifted her voice in a dreadful blood-curdling screech that filled the very air with despair.
And yet, through all of this, she hadn't noticed the second presence. But in this state she would have torn his mind to tiny pieces should he have been detected. She would have had no concept of who he was and who he represented. He was overstepping the line and would pay desperately for it. No... His mind wouldn't just shatter, It would be torn apart, ripped like the claws of a lion shredding the skin of it's prey.
It even got worse. Her eyes shifted to a blood red, one that was meant to kill everything in it's path. A rage so red that her screech became a roar. Darkness swirled around her, the snake tattoos that were on her arms were free dancing around her head, changing speeds and styles depending on the emotion that radiated from her body.
There were way too many emotions that she battled with when she slept. They threatened to take over. Threatened to tear her own mind apart. And all the while she fought for control over them. Fought to keep them in line. Every time she closed her eyes, she would see this place and have a mental battle with the emotions that plagued her mind.
Finally her roar began to calm down and she drifted off into a deep silence. Not peaceful. Not gentle. This feeling was worse than that of all three of the emotions put together. There was a terrible darkness that settled over the created dream. The snakes had stopped completely, hanging over her head as if they were dead. She herself had become curled into a ball, her body shivering being the only movement that she made.
Several moments passed. Silent moments. Nothing happened except the terrible terrible emotion that drifted through the air like poison gas.
After about ten minutes Lilith finally looked up. Her eyes the normal white and yellow. The snakes vanishing back onto her arms, the darkness settling down. She appeared dead tired. Her cheeks stained with blood.
And then of course her eyes landed on the intruder. Instinctively she almost shut herself down, afraid of him. But she soon stood up, downright rage on her face. "GET OUT! NOW!" She said without conviction. She didn't care how much she scared him with her own voice. She was more terrified at what he may have seen. She had to get him out. Now. | 炉心融解 Welcome to your life; there's no turning back. Even while we sleep we will find You acting on your best behavior. Turn your back on mother nature, Ev'rybody wants to rule the world. | JUST CAN'T STOP I CAME BACK HAUNTED NOW I'VE GOT SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO SEE. THEY PUT SOMETHING INSIDE OF ME. THE SMILE IS RED AND ITS' EYES ARE BLACK. I DON'T THINK I'LL BE COMING BACK | | Scorpius pressed back against the door. Blood. Everywhere, there was blood. Soaking the sky, soaking the ground. The deep breaths of cool Dark turned thick and sour in his throat. Scorpius choked and spat. The stench of this place coated his eyes.
But what he saw, oh, what he saw. Scorpius flicked his gaze from body to body, stomach clenching. Tilting keyblades jammed in crushed spines. Arms, legs, severed and thrown wide. Keyblades lay scattered in the dust. Their foe was finally defeated in beautiful betrayal; each keyblader was a traitor in death. It was everything they wanted.
Was it? This stench? Rotting flesh and blood seeping up through his shoes. No. Scorpius gave a mirthless, high pitched laugh. No, this wasn't what he wanted. Give him Darkness. But... take these bodies away. Put them where he couldn't see. Dark Queen, Queen of War. Of Death. Of Conquest. Mother. Scorpius never imagined torn flesh and blood-soaked ground in her dreams. She drempt a clean Evil. A sweet Evil. Didn't she?
Then he caught sight of her, alone in the middle of the battle field; even that child of Darkness felt his eyes go wide. Such a commanding figure, dressed in the trappings of war, bent low with her hands over her face. Laughing. Her wild howls rang across the heaps of dead. Eyes trickling red. A severed hand burying its' fingers deep in her hair. Scorpius cringed as the laughter turned to sobs, shuddering as the wailing rose to a shriek palpable in its' despair. That scream ripped into Scorpius like a rough-edged blade. Groaning, he shielded his face with his arm.
Too much. Stop, stop, stop. The Prince felt the pull and drag of her thoughts like a drowning man ripped apart by storm-tides and sharp stone. The weight of her torment was almost overwhelming. Lilith never allowed her son to see this turmoil: to him it didn't exist. She was strong, unshakable like a great city with walls of black marble. To see her like this disturbed Scorpius even more than eviscerated corpses. This, this wasn't her fault. No, it wasn't her weakness, not her own. Just a dream. A freak nightmare. A trick of the Dark.
Scorpius looked up at his Mother and rose to his full height. He had great power, oh so great, in his own dreams. Perhaps that power could reshape another persons' dream?
Before Scorpius could try anything, Lilith transformed. Her eyes went scarlet. A picture of horror and terrible strength, her screams turned to a roar, black snakes writhing and lashing out above her head. Scorpius knew this anger. Oh, he had tasted it in small measure. That sharp displeasure, that potent anger that cut his skin. Like any living thing with an urge to survive, he avoided that anger. Avoided and played with it, coming as close as he could manage without being burned. Pushing back against the door he strained to keep upright, shaking under the full weight of Liliths' rage. By the time the storm cleared, Scorpius was sitting on the ground, hands clamped over his ears. He breathed a sigh of relief as Lilith's body relaxed. For what seemed like a long time, mother and son recovered in silence. Then, Scorpius felt Lilith's eyes on him. He looked into her eyes, yellow and black. No more red. He got to his feet.
"GET OUT! NOW!"
Scorpius took careful, slow steps across the field, walking between the bodies. Through swarms of buzzing flies, rising and falling on dead meat. He approached her with caution, like a man creeping up on a tiger. "Mother... there's no need to cast me out... I can remake your dreams... Look...."
Tremulous, he reached out one arm. Closed his eyes. Rip the ground, break it open. Bodies falling down, down, down, oh but keep the ground she stands on solid and unshaken. Re-seal bloody earth like flowing wax. But working within someone elses' mind wasn't as simple as working in his own; it reacted against him. It had life of its' own. Blood spurted up from the ground and stained his front, sprayed his lips. Scorpius could taste it. Gaging, he wiped his sleeve against his face in a panicked gesture. Scrubbing. Over and over and again, scrubbing hard.

Instead of doing as she asked he began to move toward her through the pile of dead bodies. Lilith took a step back. She knew practically everything about her child (at least she thought she did) and she knew very well, how this scene might look to him. Her fear for his well being was amplified by ten as she watched him. If she had a heart it would be racing. She didn't make a move toward him. No... She didn't want him here. Well she did... But not here! She had no desire to ever show him this. She never wanted her son to see her at her weakest or strongest. He was too unstable. And she didn't want her relationship with her son to be tainted. No... This would definitely ruin it.
"Scorpius...!" She was going to say more, but her words caught in her throat. The boy should have just listened to what she had told him. He didn't belong here. He could end up dead or worse and it would all be her fault.
When he was near her he tried to shift the dream. All the bodies fell into large cracks that gapped all around them. But the blood filled dream only back fired on him and several drops of blood landed on his face. He began coughing and panicking. Scorpius couldn't handle the blood. This was Lilith's nightmare. Not Scorpius's.
She quickly moved forward and wrapped her arms tightly around him. Her body shaking. "Scorpius... You can't be here. Its too dangerous. Maybe one day you will be able to still my nightmares and make them lively with dreams of color and the brilliance of your creativity. But not now. My mind is nearly impossible for even myself to control. Maybe after you get stronger, we can do it together."
His body began to shrink as Lilith grabbed him and picked him up, holding him dearly close to her. Tightly. She couldn't let anything happen to him. Especially not here. And she already knew that her baby would never be the same again. She dreaded this. She dreaded the outside world. She wanted nothing more then to go back in time and to stop this from happening.
When she reached the door she set him down, facing the door, her body acting as a shield to the darkness and displeasure around her. She'd cleaned herself up a bit, the blood at least off her clothes. She didn't want to frighten him more then she already had.
"I wish I could go back to your dreams with you, but I can't. I can't leave here like you. Wake up soon, and I'll explain everything to you."
The door before them opened, leading back into his blank white dream world. | 炉心融解 Welcome to your life; there's no turning back. Even while we sleep we will find You acting on your best behavior. Turn your back on mother nature, Ev'rybody wants to rule the world. Scorpius |

| JUST CAN'T STOP I CAME BACK HAUNTED NOW I'VE GOT SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO SEE. THEY PUT SOMETHING INSIDE OF ME. THE SMILE IS RED AND ITS' EYES ARE BLACK. I DON'T THINK I'LL BE COMING BACK | | Scorpius coughed, spitting out blood, eyes closed tight. In that self-imposed darkness, he felt his mother's arms wrap tight around him. Her body trembled. Why? Was it fear? Or anger? Scorpius couldn't tell. His mind was shutting down, trying to maintain what fragile balance it had left. Soon, the strain of Lilith's tumultuous dream would be too much for her son to bear.
"Scorpius... You can't be here. Its too dangerous. Maybe one day you will be able to still my nightmares... But not now. My mind is nearly impossible for even myself to control..."
No. That couldn't be true. When had Lilith ever showed him such weakness? Scorpius shut out the truth, pushed it away. So many new cracks: he felt them forming, criss-crossing his brain.
Then Scorpius felt his body begin to shrink. So strange. This was Lilith's mind, but he never expected her to have control over his body. When Lilith picked him up, his form was that of a young boy. This was how she saw him. This must be what he was in her mind: a child. Her child. Scorpius let himself relax. Familiar embrace. Close, protective arms around him. A faint sense of comfort seemed to come between Scorpius and the Darkness.
It was a simple task to carry the boy back to the portal between dreams. No struggle. No argument. "I wish I could go back to your dreams with you, but I can't. I can't leave here like you. Wake up soon, and I'll explain everything to you." Scorpius slid to the ground, and left through the door without a backward glance.
Click. The portal closed behind him. Scorpius fell to his knees trembling. Trembling like a little bird. At last. Relief. Sweet, encircling emptiness. The madness from his mothers' dream trailed from him like threads of smoke. Panting, Scorpius ripped them away. They were leeches. Clinging like leeches, teeth slicing skin. He stank of blood. Scorpius clawed the ground in front of him. A vat of cold water, arctic shades of blue and green, opened at the boys' feet. Dive in. Dive deep. Clouds of dark-red bloomed around him. He let cold water fill his mouth. Scrubbed at himself violently; hair, skin, fingernails. By the time he broke the surface again, the water was dirty red. Little pale-pink rivulets trickled from his clothes as he walked toward the door opening from dreaming to waking. Time to open his eyes. Scorpius had had enough of sleep.
Slowly, the room came into focus. Scorpius let his head rest on Lilith's hand for a second. Then he rose to his feet, turning, staring at the motionless form of his mother. Still sleeping. Still dreaming. A trembling set into her sons' bones. It took less than a minute to get out of that room and into the hall. Less than two minutes to cross the house, walking fast, booted feet clipping against the floor. Out. Just get out. But no... he forgot. Heavy chains webbed the door, a net to keep them in. Padlocks dangled from every latch. Ornate locks, such a pretty way to cage him in. A tight, gurgling chuckle bubbled up from Scorpius's throat. And he pressed his forehead against the door. Is there a way to un-see? To forget? Clever, clever Nobodies. They were the lucky ones.
