Personality

Bina is a very logical program. She will look at any problem and calculate the most efficient way to solve it, whether it be a simple math equation or something more complex such as how to rescue as many people as possible from a burning building.

There is only one directive that supersedes all the others in her program and that is protecting her "cousin" the Giftia Program Eliza. All other tasks are secondary in her processing. She would not think twice about sacrificing a whole world if it meant Eliza would be safe.

Bina refuses to believe that she is nothing more than an android designed to be ordered around, despite all evidence to the contrary. She does not answer to anything but either Android Bina or Prototype Bina.

History

Several years ago at the SAI Corporation, a man named Harium Sani developed the perfect android, the Giftia style android known as Eliza. A fellow scientist at SAI was jealous of Sani's success. So Hiro Misaki took it upon himself to build a better android than the Giftia Eliza.

Years of research and tests took their toll on Hiro, yet the man still labored on. So invested was he in this project that his peers claimed he was putting his own soul into the project. Finally, nearly nine years after he had began his mission he was finished. His perfect android. He switched her on and nothing happened. What could he have done wrong? Were his equations incorrect? All of his simulations had ran correctly, so why not his finished product?

He was ready to give up. Years of his life had been spent on a failure. What did he have to live for now? As Hiro considered how to take his own life he noticed movement from his creation. Small movements but enough to give him hope. He knew now that it was only glitches and bugs in the program that kept his perfection from operating correctly.

Another month flashed by but Hiro did not notice. He had finally gotten his android to work flawlessly. But it was too late. By the time he had Bina booted up and ready to present, darkness attacked. He couldn't let his creation get destroyed so soon after perfecting it. He threw himself between the darkness and his creation and was overtaken. As his heart was stolen, it fragmented. A small piece of Hiro's own heart landed inside Bina's body. It seemed futile however as the darkness was encroaching in on Bina now. At the last moment she was taken by something unknown, saved from destruction.

Bina reactivated herself in a strange world. One thought was on her mind, Harium Sani and his Program Eliza. Searching her memory banks, Bina learned that Eliza was an android from the SAI Corporation as well. And according to Bina's scans, the other android had survived whatever had befallen their homeworld. Bina gave herself a new directive, protect Eliza from harm until they could return to their creators.
