fire was red, flaming spread “blazed with light.” Rhys YmbrineThe house was a mess. Simeon couldn't help but twitch his eyes at the state of it. His fingers itched to do something about the dozens of books on the floor and the tables. Not to mention the notes. Even when Simeon did research he was rather clean about it. But the worst part of it was that the occupant that should be in the room, wasn't. Ever since his good friend Rhys had found out about his pure heart he had been searching for more about it like crazy. Of course there wasn't much Simeon could do about it. He took his fingers and slid them through his whine red hair, strands falling through his fingers like feathers as his hand combed it back. Where was Rhys even. Since he wasn't even there, it made his urge to clean the mess up even worse, but he had no idea whether or not his friend had everything organized in a specific way or not. Better to just leave it all alone and try to forget it. Yeah like that was ever going to happen. "Rhys," he said in a rather calm voice, searching through the small apartment for the white haired male. "Rhys, what are you doing?" He called through the rooms, maybe he was in the kitchen? Carry me to heaven's arms Light the way and let me go Take the time to take my breath I will end where I began His mind was definitely somewhere else. Normally he would shout back when Simeon was looking for him. In fact, he didn't even hear his roommate.
The elf leaned against the kitchen counter, one hand scribbling away on a messy notepad while the other was idly petting the cat. Who seriously shouldn't be up on the counter, but Rhys could care less at this point. Mess wasn't his usual. Rhys tried to keep things an average level of clean but lately he just couldn't find the time.
No he needed his answers as quickly as possible. Ever since that night, he needed to know everything about his current situation. He needed to be prepared. So far, his extensive research had only given him the basic definition of a Pure Heart. Nothing much on how one ended up with one, or what it could even do.
There were a few mentions of powers, things Pure Hearts could do. There was one power in particular Rhys needed to find out more about. That he needed to learn asap. It had something to do with keeping darkness at bay, as well as sending it off. Wouldn't that be great? Especially if he came across that brat heartless again. With a wave of his hand Milo would be one less problem to worry about.
Sure it seemed to be only temporary but, the elf wasn't willing to expend more energy than necessary on him. Or that lesser heartless that seemed to be popping up everywhere he went. He'd clobber it if it came any closer, but it never did... It was strange and unsettling.
The oven beeped, snapping Rhys out of his thoughts. He stepped over to it and peeked in to see if the pizza he was baking was done. That's also when he finally heard his roommate calling for him.
"Cooking. What?"
He called back, in a rather bored tone, slamming the oven door shut and moving back over to the other counter where his notebook and Anders waited patiently.
"And researching. Why?"

fire was red, flaming spread “blazed with light.” Rhys YmbrineWhen he stepped into the kitchen he leaned against the door frame as he watched Rhys close the oven door and move back over to the counter where his papers were. Simeon raised an eyebrow. He'd been going nonstop since he found out about this pure heart thing. Simeon was beginning to worry about his health. He understood people trying to be worried about how many smokes he had in a day, but honestly, every time he went to the doctors they said he had clear lungs. His only assumption was that somehow the smoking was absorbed into his body as energy and that was why he was always able to use his powers at the flick of a finger. Which meant that he didn't have to worry about his own health when it came to smoking. Because it wasn't hurting him, at least he was 90% sure it wasn't. But this nonstop researching. He truly was beginning to worry about it. The house was a mess, he was cooking pizza... Sure, pizza was a regular at their place. But, usually Simeon made it and most of the rest of the food in the place. He rather liked his food to be topped and made well, not just bought from the store and put in the oven. "Because, the apartment is a mess and you could have just waited for me to come home from work to cook something for you." He paused and looked around the kitchen. This place needed to be cleaned just as much as the living room did. "You know what... I think you need a break. And Chocolate or something."[ NOTES xD PFT... Carry me to heaven's arms Light the way and let me go Take the time to take my breath I will end where I began Rhys started to put his papers in a neater pile, reaching over to give the cat a quick scratch under his chin. He didn't the apartment was too bad off. Then again he was the only one who really understood where everything was in the mess. As far as the paperwork went. After all, it may not have looked like it to his roommate, but the elf had everything organized. Well as far as what was in each pile or stack of things. Rhys shrugged his shoulders and glanced over at Simeon.
"Look, I'll get to picking everything up later...And I didn't really want to wait. Besides, this way uses less dishes and I didn't want to add to the mess or whatever." A break was the last thing he believed he needed. He was so close to a breakthrough. He had to be! This much effort should be getting him somewhere. Right?
"Tch. I'm ridiculously close, I can break when I'm done...What's chocolate supposed to do for me anyways?" He said turning back to his notepad. It was practically full. There wasn't even space left in the margins to write in. Rhys let out a rather frustrated sigh. He kind of was craving chocolate now. After all, it would make him feel a bit better. This situation was kind of depressing the more he thought about it.
Going crazy over a tiny bit of information, because some juvenile delinquent scared him in the middle of the night. Not only was he using up all his sick time on the hunt, but by the looks of it. The elf really did trash the house. Speaking of trash..When was the last time he actually took out the trash. His green eyes drifted over to the overflowing trash bin and cringed.
Hopefully he wasn't worrying his friend too much with his behavior. It'll pass, eventually... Once Rhys got his answers. Though he was definitely going to clean up the house tonight. They would probably end up getting bugs if he waited any longer. SIMEON NYSTROM | | RHYS IS SLOWLY STARTING TO REALIZE HOW OFF HE'S ACTING. MADE BY VEL OF GS

fire was red, flaming spread “blazed with light.” Rhys YmbrineSimeon didn't move from his spot leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed as he listened to Rhys speak. Rhys was totally obsessed with finding out this stuff. Not that Sim could really talk either. He was obsessed with smoking and running... and practicing his energy moves. But Simeon knew the importance of me time and tea time. He could literally see Rhys's health dwindling by the day. He didn't like it. Not one bit. He needed to get his dear friend out of the house before he killed himself. Moving slowly and quietly as Rhys worked on his research Simeon opened the oven to check on the pizza and then turned down the heat on the dial a lot. This would keep the pizza warm while they were gone, but not burn it. They wouldn't be gone for long. Maybe 15-20 minutes. He wanted to get at least that much in. If he was lucky, Rhys would end up agreeing to go out to eat and he could get his friend away from the books for more then an hour. Maybe they could go party or something... Nah... Neither of them were the party going type, but it was an idea, just to get Rhys out of the stuffy house. When he was finished with the oven Simeon walked up to the counter where the white haired wonder was scribbling away at his notes. "Alright, we all know how important you are, you can't hide anything from me." In one swift movement Simeon pulled the pencil out of the elf's fingers and set it on the table before grabbing hold of his arm. With that he began to pull Rhys out of the apartment. Simeon was small and fast, and in no way a strong being. If Rhys wanted to pull away from him or shove him away he would totally win that battle. But Simeon was determined to get the silly boy out of the house. "Common, lets take a break from being perfect for a little while. Lets go to the store and get you some chocolate."[ NOTES MERP..| I SEE FIRE SONG BY ED SHEERAN ]

Carry me to heaven's arms Light the way and let me go Take the time to take my breath I will end where I began Rhys huffed when Simeon took his pen. He could guess what was coming next. He did something to the oven now he was stopping him from working. Even though the elf was more than annoyed with having his work interrupted, Damn right , I'm perfect.
When he started to pull him away from his work, Rhys just allowed it to happen. Giving Simeon little to no resistance. What was the use anyways? He was going to find a way to get the man out of the house. And chocolate was starting to sound good. Also fresh air. The air in the apartment had long grown stale. What with the old dusty books lying about, the overflowing trash bin, the dirty dishes and laundry... He really let go of everything recently. Getting out of this place was sounding better by the moment. But he wasn't going to come out and admit it.
The elf did take a quick glance from the red head to the cat on the counter. Which within the few seconds Rhys hadn't been writing, had decided to make a nice bed out of his notebook. Scraaaatch, scraaaaatch. The elf rolled his eyes. Maybe they were both working to get him out of the house. He turned back to Simeon, almost tripping over some papers on the floor.
“What if I don't want to take a break? Maybe I like being perfect.”
He was being beyond sarcastic. But the small grin on his face was giving off the fact that he wasn't quite as annoyed as he wanted to be. Even his fear of running into something he couldn't take on again wasn't holding him back from leaving. He was really starting to look forward to that chocolate. Fresh air. And talking about his current obsession with his friend.
Hell, maybe he had an idea of how to continue looking for ideas...Or he'd switch the subject and avoid the topic about "mr. perfect." MADE BY VEL OF GS

fire was red, flaming spread “blazed with light.” Rhys YmbrineThank the stars that his friend didn't struggle or push him away. It was nice to see that he was still in there somewhere, especially that great sense of sarcasm that he had. "What if I don't want to take a break. Maybe I like being perfect." Simeon rolled his eyes in a mocking gesture as he opened their apt door and pulled them both out of it. "Well then," He said. "Do me a favor and cry yourself a perfect river, then build yourself a perfect bridge and then get the hell over it." Then he stopped for several seconds in deep thought before letting go of his friend and closing the front door. "On second thought, you'd take too long to cry the river and I'd be sitting bored on the other side waiting for you, so I'd rather you didn't go and do that."Then he took the key from his pocket and locked their door so thieves wouldn't be tempted to go inside. Then he grabbed onto his friend's arm once again and pulled him in the direction of the nearest store. It wasn't a very big one, but it was where Simeon bought all his cigarettes from and the chocolate and sweets for when he had video game marathons. "Pick what you want, I'll pay." he said as they both walked into the door. He immediately went for a huge bar of cookies and cream chocolate without hesitation. [ NOTES SHORT! SORRY! Carry me to heaven's arms Light the way and let me go Take the time to take my breath I will end where I began Rhys just stared at Simeon for a moment, fighting the urge to snicker or show any sort of amused reaction. Trying to keep up with the holier than thou persona. But after the final thing his roommate said, the elf’s face cracked. He shook his head and snickered.
“Like I’d… I can’t even think of a perfect comeback, look what you’ve done to me. I’m becoming average.” Rhys pouted and kicked the ground in a show of fake frustration. Almost immediately he had a small grin on his face. Glancing around them as Simeon locked the door. He’d been paying a lot more attention to the world around him than usual. He was ready for anything and everything. And wasn’t going to get caught off guard again.
it wasn’t just for his own safety either at this moment. No, he wasn’t going to let his friend get caught up in any possible situation. Though, it was kind of ridiculous to worry about this sort of thing in broad daylight and especially during this time of day. Everyone and their mother were probably out and about.
Rhys twiddled his thumbs before allowing Simeon to drag him off again. Giving some slight resistance, just to mess with him. He was well aware of his own strength, and was pondering stopping dead in their tracks and watch the red head try and yank him along. Maybe that would be too jerkish right then and there. Once they made it to the little store Rhys suddenly realized he wasn’t quite positive what he wanted.
“Oh really? Well then I think I want that entire aisle over there...Maybe that one too..” The elf said with a laugh before looking over the candy selection. All of it looked good. Incredibly good. His stomach grumbled a little. Well that’s embarrassing. Rhys reached out and grabbed a massive chocolate bar with almonds. He kept reminding himself that there was a pizza back at the apartment to eat, in order to stop himself from grabbing more.
“I’m thirsty. Do they have tea here?” Rhys was a creature of habit, rarely straying to stores he didn’t frequent unless he absolutely needed to. This was one of those stores he rarely went to. Except for times when they ran out of essentials and he just didn’t feel like walking very far. MADE BY VEL OF GS

fire was red, flaming spread “blazed with light.” Rhys Ymbrine“Oh really? Well then I think I want that entire aisle over there...Maybe that one too..”"HA~! Thats funny!" He said rather dramatically as he walked over to the coolers where they kept their cold drinks. He peered in the glass as he spoke. "How about you pay for the one on the right, and I'll pay for the one on the left and we split the pay if we're doing it that way..." He opened the glass door when he found what he wanted and then grabbed his favorite Monster energy drink from it's place on the rack. "Yeah there are some different kinds over here. But I bet this is the one you're looking for isn't it Rhysie-poo." Before shutting the glass door he pulled out a tall can of Pomegranate green tea and then made his way over to his friend, tossing it at him when he was close enough. "Hey man, find some chocolate already, there's something cool I want to show you. Its getting dark, which means it'll be even better." If it got his friend away from his silly research for awhile, and even got his mind off of it, then it was probably time for him to finally open up about his abilities. He's been itching to use them for awhile anyway. Or at least tell someone about it. "Call it my own Research project if you will." [ NOTES NOTES SUCK -WINKS-....| I SEE FIRE SONG BY ED SHEERAN ]

Carry me to heaven's arms Light the way and let me go Take the time to take my breath I will end where I began “I don’t know, Simeon. You said you were paying. I might throw in like one munny to help. But no more than that.” Rhys said with a small snicker. Looking over the cooler, trying to find what he was looking for. That’s when he heard it. Rhysie-poo. Oh my Gods. Rhys spun around to face Simeon, staring at him in complete offense.
“Rhysie-poo?! Really really? I can't even right now." His face cracked a little when he said it out loud. As annoying as it was it sounded hilarious. Okay maybe it wasn't even offensive. It was just plain ridiculous. Simeon was lucky, if anyone else called him that, he’d probably verbally rip them a new one. But instead, he was starting to laugh.
He caught the bottle with one hand. Well now he could finally get to getting what they came here for. Chocolate. Chocolate. The elf made his way over to the candy aisle and scanned the shelf.
“It better not be a strip club.” Rhys said bluntly, picking up a rather giant chocolate bar with almonds. He pondered his choice before turning to Simeon, more than ready to go. His own research project? This could prove to be interesting.
“Alright then, let’s get a move on Speedracer. ” He bumped his roommate with his shoulder before heading towards the cash register. Hopefully it’ll be something interesting. Worthwhile. Actually, he didn't care, he didn't want to head home and deal with that mess of an apartment just yet. MADE BY VEL OF GS
