Once the fun and games were over with, it was time to bring the little new companion home. Daxior gave a relaxful almost cat-like yawn toward the thought of going home and taking a break from the carnival. "Time to head out." He spoke aloud to the Somebody still exhaustion in the voice.
It had been several hours, several flashbacks, and most importantly several tiring rides. Whatever it was that had happened throughout the day, a part of him hoped it would never happen again, it was just too exhausting. He turned to his new companion an attempted tired smile on his face, probably the hope of leaving the carnival even though it had just turn dark and all the pretty lights shined brightly. "Ready to go? To your new home?"

| As beautiful as all the lights were, and as much as Carmen loved the atmosphere, he was fine with leaving. More than ready to, if he was completely honest. He was tired, exhausted even. But a good sort of exhausted. It wasn't a bad sort, where everything aches and you just feel plain horrible. It was quite the opposite. Everything had gone wonderfully. He couldn't really have asked for a better way to spend his first day outside of that hell hole.
Carmen let out a rather loud yawn while nodding. He was more than ready to go. Though he furrowed his brows at Daxior's next words. To your new home...
It felt like something someone would say to a puppy. It was just, off putting in a way. Maybe it was just some other quirky thing about this guy? Hopefully. Carmen wasn't going to back out, regardless of the tiny voice in the back of his head. He just tried to shrug it off, giving Dax a rather tired grin.
“Yeah, totally.”
The more he thought about going the more his nerves seemed to act up. He was going to an unknown place with an acquaintance. Like this worked out well the last time? "Do you never learn, boy?" Carmen bit his lip, this was completely different from last time. Different world. Different person. Different situation. In fact, if anything, Daxior was saving him from becoming some sort of homeless delinquent. "No one's going to save you. No one can save you." Okay fine, helping. He's helping... "I helped too. I carved you into something that could survive down here..."
He shook his head, trying to get rid of those thoughts and that damned voice.
“Where do you live anyways?”
The teenager had been curious earlier and couldn't quite remember if he'd asked then. Asking about the place before arriving seemed like a good way to try and get more comfortable. At least I don't have to worry about monsters....Or waking up to some sort of pain...Knock on wood.

Instant relief filled him when the teen agreed that he too wanted to go home. Watching the boy a little longer however, before totally opening to portal to get home. It seemed almost like the boy was uncertain about all this, hopefully he wouldn't back out now? Dax didn't want to force him, couldn't really force him, he wasn't an expert on multiple mind tricks at once.
Hopefully whatever went through the teen's mind would go away after seeing the actual home. The boy shook his head, as if discerning questionable thoughts, thoughts that Dax probably won't fully understand for a good while. Where did he live? Well... A grin of pride showed on his face, "A nice large white home with large comfortable furnishings where everyone can hang out if they wanted. There's even this great kitchen stocked with lots of sandwich material." A flash of embarrassment for his reaction went through him, rather strongly, it seemed almost regularity after one of those past memory flashes... Such a waste of a memory flash, almost downright ruining the fun of all this.
Cleaning out his throat then focusing, a dark portal opened up were they stood. "So wanna go first? Or should I?" he asked, his voice still tinged with hope that this would be easy.

| “Everyone...?”
Did he mention having roommates earlier? Carmen couldn't quite recall. He tilted his head to the side, watching the nobody closely. The description Daxior gave him was nice. Big was better then small obviously, white he could handle. Also a well stocked fridge would feel like a blessing to the teenager at the point. His old home was more or less a rather dark shade of gray. It was creepy and twisted. Literally twisted in some areas. He missed it quite a bit... He'd go back there eventually, he promised himself he would. See mother again... But that all was beside the point.
“It sounds rather quaint though...”
There was a bit of a smile on his face as he spoke. That was until he saw the portal. Dark and swirling. This was how we were going to get there? More dark passageways? Carmen hesitated, taking half a step backwards. He hadn't had any problems with walking through portals so far. In fact, his first interaction with one was earlier this afternoon. When he fell through the one in the bottom of that chest, landing right in Daxior's lap. Okay that wasn't walking, but still. He knew next to nothing about the nature of them. Or how one could even summon one out of thin air like that.
“I-is it safe?”
Stupid question, why would Dax use it if it wasn't safe? Better yet, what the boy meant to ask was it safe for him personally. Don't back out, don't back out, I need this...I need this. He looked rather torn about it. Glancing between the portal and his companion.

Was it safe? Well... He wasn't quite certain if it was safe for somebodies, but if it didn't work out he could always go find himself a heartless pet. Without breaking a sweat or even a show of insecurities, he answered Carmen "Obviously, use it all the time without any problems." Then a thought occurred to him, to tease the boy at his slight show of weakness. "Want to go together? I could hold your hand if you want."
After several moments passed he gave a shrug of his shoulders, "Easier than walking." He then stepped into the portal not bothering double checking to make sure the teen was right behind him. once through the portal he appeared in the main frontroom foyer with several comfy white couches. It seemed that everyone was still either at the carnival or wondering off doing who-knows-what. This was perfect time to get the boy settled in, maybe even get a little dinner before heading to the room.
He turned toward the portal and waited to see if the boy stepped through, he decided to give the boy two minutes. After those two minutes he would go check to see if the boy was disembodied or wondered off with no where really to go. The teen really didn't have much of a chance, it was really all he had. What Dax knew, if Somebodies were desperate, they do absolutely anything to stay alive. Why he has seen some of them even through their own kind in the way of a heartless attack, they call heartless well heartless.

| Obviously, use it all the time without any problems Well that was a good sign. But it wasn't a guarantee. Could you even really guarantee someone's safe passage? What if part of Carmen got left back here, like what if it split him in half? Okay, that was extremely unlikely. Carmen could close his eyes as he went through. But that could open the door to him getting lost. Oh maker, what if it was just going to take him back to the prison?! Carmen would surely die if this was a trap. If not by his companion's hand, then his own.
Want to go together? I couldhold your hand if you want.
The teenager was almost about to suggest walking in together but wrinkled his nose at the holding hands part. Do I look like a child to you? Carmen didn't really enjoy being teased. But then again who did? He rolled his eyes and gave Dax a rather unamused look.
“You wish...”
He answered in a sarcastic tone. There was really nothing else for him to do besides suck it up and get a move on. He hesitated for a moment, and unhooked his gas mask from his belt. Putting it on put him more at ease. He felt secure, safe. Once he had the mask adjusted right, the teenager decided it would be best to go through the portal faster than just walking carefully.
So naturally he ran through it. He practically tripped out of the other side, and took a second to steady himself. At least the worried expression was hidden under his mask. Carmen stood up straight and glanced around the room. It was big, comfortable looking. Definitely not where he had been for almost a year so that was more than comforting.
“It was still technically walking... How do you even summon those things?”
Carmen asked, still looking around, taking everything in. It was all rather blank, white, sterile. The teen scratched the back of his head, turning to look at Daxior. Smiling politely, even though his face isn't even visible.
“This place is pretty nice...”
He was just sort of standing there awkwardly. Unsure what to do next. Should he sit down, make himself at home? Or what? Carmen decided he'll just wait till his companion makes a move. Then he'll follow along.

The teen suddenly appeared on the otherside and barely missed tripping over his own feet. Dax watched slightly amused at the teen's attempted bravery and strength. Once glancing around the room, Carmen then asked Dax how he even summoned the portal. Dax sat there in thought then answered, "Kinda comes to you after a few days of birth. Why you don't know how?" The last part of his voice caught sounding slightly shocked.
The idea of somebodies being unable to create their own portals, seemed so odd... Why there was even a security system created to prevent certain "captives" to create portals to go in and out, such oddity for a Somebody to be unable to. Maybe this model was broken? Though, the more he thought about it... never once while being attacked a Somebody had created portals, here he thought it was just fear. Then again, maybe he could teach the teen, no then the pet could leave, that was never good. The pet needed to depend on its transport to get around, though at same time... Maybe there was a way to teach the pet the portal trick? "I guess... maybe tomorrow I could try and show you? Are you sure you just can't do it? Like breathing?" he sounded uncertain on this whole "needing to train the pet" thing.
With a stomach grumbling, he recalled once more his main mission to raid the fridge. "Ever had a Cemitas Puebla Atomica Cemitas?" he asked the teen, hoping that the teen had never even heard of the sandwich before. As a sandwich pro, he rather enjoyed introducing newest sandwiches to his victims.

| A few days after birth? What a strange guy this is. The only thing he knew from birth was how to peel his own skin off for the sake of terrifying people. Maybe he should show Daxior his little trick? It wasn't comfortable by any means though and the boy wasn't sure he could pull off the routine successfully. what with how worn down he was. It'd been a long time too, and Carmen wasn't positive if he still even really knew how anymore.
“Nope. I can't, neither could anyone else I used to know...” He shrugged, looking rather shocked that Daxior was shocked about it. He was just an average teenager. What was he? A wizard of some sort? Maybe some sort of heartless? No if he was a heartless, then he probably would have acted like one...How do heartless even act? This whole situation seemed ten times more awkward. He twirled his hair between his fingers.
“That'd be interesting to try. The only thing I can do that's as easy as breathing is...” After trailing off the skin on the hand that was currently twirling his hair started to crack and peel. What looked to be oil seeped out from behind the skin, and what looked to be a metallic something or other was visible. After that he shook his hand and the illusion went away. Though, there was a rather large scabbed over scrape where the skin had cracked. That was the frustrating part of it all.
“I guess we all have our own little magic tricks.” Carmen sounded somewhat proud. After all this time it'd never left him. Maybe he should work on getting better at it. He never cared much for scaring but, he would practice as a way to remember Chris and all that. Sort of like a tattoo, only better. He pulled off his mask before quirking a brow at what Daxior asked next.
“ A cement what now?” Were they even speaking the same language at this point? The teenager continued to look more than flabbergasted at the string of words that came out of his mouth. Was he talking about food? Or something else? It seemed like it would be food. They hadn't eaten much at all. Too busy riding all sorts of carnival rides and going through mindless amusements.
Last time someone asked him if he'd tried something he didn't quite understand the name of, it didn't end well. Nothing ever ended well since he left home. Well, besides running into Dax. At least, so far.

The boy showed his ability, the ability itself was a bit indescribable. Why Dax has never seen anything like it, he actually wanted to reach and touch the indescribable hair and skin crackage. Once it all had magically healed back, there was a large scab... He wanted to touch that too, as if touching would give him the ability to play with. Resisting the urge to creepily touch the guy, he looked away waiting for the response toward the sandwich.
When Carmen answered with "a cement what now" a large joyous smile spread on Dax's face. The Somebody didn't know! Didn't know! This was going to be fun, why if he was psychotic he would probably be talking to those slinkies of his of the excitement he felt. "A Cemitas Puebla Atomica Cemitas" he said pointedly hiding absolutely no excitement that the boy didn't know what the sandwich was even was. Soon after that he quickly listed the topping "Why it has: Krakus ham, guajillo pork loin, breaded milanesa, avocado, and Oaxacan cheese! You're going to love it!" he laughed to himself leading the way to kitchen.
The kitchen itself was actually pretty clean and well still white, it seemed the kitchen could probably hold about 20 people at once... Though considering how large the castle was, the kitchen was rather small, with main focus of fridge few counters and simple stove. There was although various tools for cutting, storage, and cleaning. The smell of the kitchen was that of alcohol, as if some crazed clean freak cleaned the whole place from top to bottom.
Ignoring the somebody Dax immediately went to work making the sandwich, pulled out the various materials needed from the various cabinets... The rate that he worked was almost like he was a trained sandwich chef of some sort. Less than 5 minutes both sandwiches were completely cut in half and ready to serve. He was staring into a cabinet filled with unknown foods and chips. He shouted to the Somebody, not even aware of the somebody even being there, "What do you prefer? Cheetos, Pringles, or Lays?"

| Carmen continued to look rather confused by the name, but other than that, he nodded knowingly at the ingredients that went in them. Those he understood, mostly. Probably just fancier types of ingredients that he was used to. It sounded like a sandwich. This guy did say that he was great at making sandwiches so, it seemed like an alright assumption.
“Ahh okay...Sandwich, got it.”
The somebody was a bit amused at how excited Daxior sounded over food. His stomach was getting almost excited. Talking about said food was reminding him of just how hungry he was. Carmen was used to pushing his hunger to the back of his mind. After all, food was scarce in the area of the maze they had stayed in. And even if he caught something to eat, he usually had to give most of it up. After all, he couldn't take care of himself, so the one doing so needed the most energy. Or some other bullcrap like that.
He followed him curiously. He was also excited over the possibility of good food. He hadn't had a good meal since he was in halloween town. The kitchen seemed ridiculously sterile. Even more so than the living area. He wondered if they were all neat freaks, or maybe they had a borderline crazy maid.
When Daxior had mentioned things about sandwiches earlier, Carmen figured he was just rubbing his own ego. But now, watching the nobody make not just one, but two impressive looking sandwiches in less than five minutes, was enough to make him fully believe it. He was an expert. No doubt about it. In fact, it was borderline inhuman. Carmen had to consciously stop his jaw from dropping.
The teenagers stomach growled rather loudly, which was semi-embarrasing. But being this close to being able to eat was getting to him. He's got chips too? Oh thank the maker.
“Uhhhm. Cheetos? Please and thank you.”
Carmen could barely even remember what they tasted like. But what he did remember was that he couldn't stop stuffing his face with them almost every lunch he had at school. Good times, good times.

Cheetos it was! Quickly he grabbed the bag, opened it up, poured couple of cheetos on both plates. Once he was done with the cheetos he stealthily slid placed the bag on the table, specifically the spot closest to him at the time. Then went back for the sandwich plates, one he placed nearest to the teen, the other nearby chair. Once both plates were on the table, he slid into the spot he choose for himself and began eating the sandwich. The eating style was rather pretty normal, though if one watched closely he seemed to treat teh sandwich as if each bite was meany to be savored before it was completely devoured.
Once half the sandwich was gone, he attempted to start up a normal conversation while munching on the cheesy cheetos on his plate. " Good?" he asked, before asking the second question he wanted to ask. "Gonna ever share what happened to you? Before, you know?" Once the other question was asked, he began eating the second half of the sandwich but much slower taking his time for the conversation sake more so than anything.

| Carmen sat down and started eating almost immediately. It was as great as expected. No better, it was beyond good. It took all his willpower not to pretty much inhale half of the sandwich in a few seconds. Instead he forced himself to eat slowly. Savoring every single bite. Regardless of how large some of them were. At Daxior's question the somebody nodded, waiting until he was done chewing and had swallowed before actually responding.
“It's amazing, really. Did you go to culinary school or something?”
He decided it might be best to take a break before tackling the second half. After all, he didn't want to end up giving himself a stomach ache. The teen ate a couple cheetos before stopping all together. Gonna ever share what happened to you? Before, you know? Of course that question was going to come up eventually. He had just been hoping later rather than sooner...Though it was late wasn't it?
He furrowed his brows and tried to think of the best way to respond, without really getting into details. Daxior would probably want to know everything eventually. But Carmen wasn't ready to really spill most of it. Just tell him the basic situation. Nothing else. “Not even me? Don't you miss me?” No no, he can mention him later. Not now. That would ruin the entire moment....If it wasn't already.
“Well... I uh. Before falling out of the sky... It's kind of a long story... But after everything you've done you deserve to hear some of it, I guess...” Carmen swallowed hard. He was hesitating. He'd take this as an opportunity to stuff his face, but his appetite drifted away with the thought of the maze. He looked up from his plate at Daxior. His expression reflected how he was feeling. It was better now than later, really.
“Almost a year ago, me and my brother we... We ran away from home to find our dad, and we sort of got lost in another world.”
He took a quick bite, before continuing. Giving himself some time to think of how to continue. Just mentioning his sibling caused a pang of guilt in his chest.
“We ended up getting split up after a while and I uh... Yeah.”
Ran into a walking talking nightmare? No, no... He was going to stop here. The teen couldn't physically continue the story at this rate. He didn't want to think about him. The memories left him nervous. His own thoughts on the man left him confused and scared. Because they made absolutely no sense. Carmen started to play with his hair.
It also reminded him...How this situation felt similar to those first couple weeks.. Just a different setting. A different day. A different person. But looking at Dax he couldn't see anything horrible in him. At all really, he was just some weird nice person. It's okay to trust people, Carmen.

Culinary school? What was a Culinary School? He couldn't quite recall what the word meant, just like that of genders, a word he hardly had any strong association with. Maybe it was some sort of training for food that Somebodies had? What was important was the teen had enjoyed the sandwich, that was always good.
"I studied cooking by practicing and using the internet." He was so proud of himself, as a Nobody he really had nothing to worry about and all the time in the world besides missions... Course' now he had two jobs, he had less time to learn sandwiches, but now he was skilled enough to create his own.
Carmen had answered his question, and while he held little no emotions... Compared to Somebodies... He has had his fits of flashbacks and emotions for the day, he could kinda connect, kinda. Then there was that girl... That one girl he was currently connected with inside the castle drawing at his mana constantly, exhausting him constantly... Her feelings were highly deep and sharp, like a knife cutting into meat. She dearly missed her "brother" and was willing to do absolutely anything to get to him. The feelings weren't exactly effecting him harshly, they made him understand separation just a little more than some Nobodies.
Now looking at the teen with his story mostly done, Dax didn't press... He really shouldn't press, he merely said softly as he could as if feeling the pain. "Its never fun losing your brother, sorry that had happened." He paused for a moment letting the awkward silence fall a little longer before breaking. " how about finish our sandwiches, get you cleaned up, then call it a night? Tomorrow maybe you can get some information about that world of yours?" He paused uncertain how to handle Somebodies, if they were anything like heartless they would be overly emotional... Maybe what he said was wrong? Though he should help the boy, while technically not completely helping?
He perked up his silly goofiness, "Hey, can I help?" While he might plot to slightly sabotage, there was a deep part beneath him that wanted to find this "brother". Mainly for 3 reasons.. 1 possibility ofgaining pet loyalty . 2 his loyal protective friend side was showing through from his past life. 3 what was a brother? He needed to know for Aylxx's sake. Actually on the last reason, he should just look it up, now that the problem appeared twice. This "brother" must be an important thing, as important as a "friend".

| Well that was one way to learn to cook. It actually made Daxior seem more impressive. Self-taught cooks could be beyond good at their work. But they could be hard to find. Carmen grinned and ate a couple cheetos before speaking.
“Ahh, that's pretty cool.”
All Carmen knew about cooking was well, how to make microwaved macaroni and cheese? He doubted cooking a rat on a stick over a fire counted much in the way of cooking. Seeing as even a caveman could manage such a small feat. Maybe he could ask Dax later to teach him some things. It'd be a good way to really get to know the guy. But at the same time, after watching him prepare food earlier, the somebody was almost positive he wouldn't be able to catch up.
He could feel the back of his throat sting a little, so did his eyes. It was hard just thinking about Chris. He was long gone. Dead probably. He felt responsible for letting him go. For not following him regardless of their little spat. Like he always had before when they were children. When they really got along. It was strange. Carmen was never able to imagine a world without him, yet here he was. It didn't seem real the more he thought about it...He was too busy freaking out in the prison to really think about his twin then. The somebody gave a rather sad nod and rubbed his eyes.
“No no it's not. Especially a twin...”
He wouldn't go as far as saying a piece of him was missing. They weren't that close. But they knew each other like the backs of their hands. At least, that's how Carmen always felt. Regardless of any rifts between them. In fact at this rate, he missed him more than their father. There was actually some resentment brewing towards that man. If he could blame anyone but himself, it was father... The teen blinked a few times, looking back at Daxior. A small smile was on his face again. It was a rather sad one but still.
“ Sounds like a good plan... I definitely need to get more cleaned up. I suppose so, yeah.”
He said with a small laugh. Not quite as cheerful as he was earlier. But he was starting to get back to being content. Pushing all the thoughts about his brother to the back of his mind. Trying to forget the pain in his chest entirely. He looked confused for a moment. Help? With the search for Chris? That was unexpected...He better be talking about that and not the bathing part. That would just be kind of awkward. Sleeping, eh not as awkward, but still odd.
“If you really want to I guess...I'm not even sure if he's still alive. That was, what you were talking about right?”

A twin? The brother were a twin? That word... He thought back recalling it from the girl, her brother was a twin too, wasn't it? Maybe this Somebody could actually help him out discovering how to work the girl, that heartless girl. The companion already was being so useful... First discovering some memories, proving they were not in fact myth as he had come to believe. Then that cute little exciting face bringing some sort of stronger emotion... Now that girl, maybe once he get's the girl to trust his friend, he wouldn't have to extend his power so much, finally sleep... Real sleep.
Carmen gave a slight laugh, though as quite toned down from earlier. It seemed brothers of twin group made their friends so sad, why was that? Was Aylxx a brother too? What exactly was this brother? The teen accepted his offer to help, this made him slightly giddy. How he loved to help others so much, it was third of favorite things in his list. You probably would never guess the first two. The boy continued explaining, Dax began piecing things together. Brothers were male, were alive... So were like Somebodies.. Did that mean the girl's brother was a somebody as well? No, it was heartless, he knew it.. could feel it. He put of a goofy grin, "Never hurts to try. If he was dead, what would you do?" He had a slight puppy innocent face, the sort that wished the teen would never leave, to stay a pet forever. The sort that might just break out and attack the teen if it had to.
After the conversation was over, he stood up, then motioned for the teen to follow. He went down a really long hallway with various doors, eventually reaching the one that was his. He opened the door wide open to show a large room with a large white couch, computer set, closet doors, and a medium sized bed. He went straight toward the closet opening up to find some basic men's clothes, if one was too look closely they'll notice a few female clothes mixed in, though not nearly as many as male. Picking the outfit that should fit the teen, he turned around, and holding out the clothes. "Head to the bathroom, its the door on the right farthest room, towels in there as well."
