CHRISTOFF STARK
NICO NICO SINGER, fukuwa, CHRISTOFF STARK
|
Appearance |
Christoff has a much darker appearance then his brother. Instead of the pale white hair, his is a cave black. His eyes, despite what color they seem to be in his hover images, have always been a sharp ice blue. Currently he is blind in both eyes. However, he has learned to move around and work without sight, even in a battle, His other senses have become slightly more pronounced simply because he's used them more in the past 6 months. His body is littered with claw marks and scars, which sometimes includes bandages and loincloth. Because he mostly wear's his mask, his face is more or less protected from his "mother's" violence and the attacks of monsters. He always has his red sweater with him, whether he wears it or not. It doesn't leave his side. This is because it was a gift from his brother. He doesn't remember this at the current moment, but it is almost a habit of his to bring it wherever he goes. Without his mask he's insecure and fidgety. It has protected him through many a fight in the maze, and it keeps himself separated from the rest of the world. It's his barrier. His safety barrier. Its easy to tell how he is feeling by where his mask is. If in full confidence, he'll probably just leave it somewhere safe. If nervous he might carry it around or start fiddling with it, switching between Putting it on and taking it off. If severely insecure or getting into a possible battle he'll put it on for long periods of time and completely forget about it being on his face. It was a major piece of security for him while he was in the maze, even if he would never want to admit to his father giving it to him. Like all Halloween residents, Christoff can shift his appearance. His brother can look mechanical, Christoff can add and subtract parts of his body. He can add another arm, or take away an eye and put it somewhere else on his body. He can even make it look like he's terribly wounded and bleeding everywhere. Its not exactly a fun process to form or unform, as he has to "grow" the arm and shift the placement of the eye. He's around the same height as his twin, but is much stronger in body strength and more pronounced in body build. Having to survive in a maze with monsters constantly attacking and having to become immune to the pain being constantly inflicted on him, he was forced to be as strong as he is. When it comes to pain Christoff is completely ignorant to it. His mind switches off and adrenaline becomes his only thought. Even after the the adrenaline has gone he could go around carrying an enormous gash in his side and he won't even feel it. But just because he can't feel pain doesn't mean he can't feel anything else. He can feel other senses. |
Personality |
MEMORY: Ever since waking up in the lower half of the maze, Christoff can't remember anything about himself from before that. He doesn't even remember the fact that he fell. The entire time he lived under ground he was under the impression that he'd lived there for the past 6 years. That he was banished there as a prisoner. So sadly he Does not even remember Halloween Town or his mother or his brother. And the only memories he does ever receive are distorted and messed up and they are always fighting. SURVIVAL: He doesn't understand why, but Christoff has to survive. He knows that there is a reason for him to even though he has absolutely no idea what that reason is. He'll do anything to survive and that includes taking out anything or anyone that is a threat to him. He'll start with trying to scare people off. His mask being donned as the first line of defense. Then his ability to change his appearance. This is his warning. This is before he attacks. If not attacked he'll probably end up calming down. If not, he'll go into attack mode, and in this mode he has no control. SERIOUS: Unlike his brother, Christoff has a very serious personality, often times bottling up all of his deeper feelings and burying them deep inside himself. He can seem very much like an introvert as he tends to lock himself inside his room or go it alone when he's upset. However, he does not like to be completely alone. Being in his room by himself is fine, as long as he knows there are other people in the house. If not then he panics. He talks, just probably not as kindly or as happily as Carmen does. MASCULINE: Christoff is very much a boy. He would be the one that would be into cars and sports and guns. Or course picture that as someone from Halloween Town instead. Someone who prides them self in being a good scarer and fighter. He is a fighter. A tough one at that. Although he isn't "professional" he certainly is dangerous when provoked. PARANOIA: Ever since his father went missing Chris has been going through some serious paranoia. However, it didn't get really bad until after he'd forgotten his memory and had been living with his so called "mother." After that his paranoia got worse. Be began to think of himself as a monster and so would stay away from most people. He is under the impression that all people are afraid of him and should be afraid of him because of the monster he has become. When he became trapped in the mirror, instead of trying to find his way out he was driven mad by the silence. He started to talk to himself and fight with himself. Sometimes he still does this. Who better to trust then himself anyway, especially when there is no other person talking. ANGER: Depriving from the anger at his own father, his memories and nightmares only heightened this feeling even though he has no idea where it comes from or why Its constantly there. He doesn't always act on it, but it is what takes over when he feels truly threatened by another. It is his second main drive. GUILTY: His other main drive is the constant guilt that hangs over him like a death sentence. He doesn't know where it comes from or why its there, but it constantly haunts his heart and mind. In fact, the root is from leaving his brother alone in the maze. He was supposed to protect Carmen, but instead he abandoned him. Left him to be eaten and taken by that of the monsters in the labyrinth. |
History |
Being born with a twin wasn't always easy for Christoff, but it was the best thing that ever happened to him. Who was more trustworthy then the one that you were born and grew up with? However, they were kind of opposite in both appearance and personalities. Carmen was the happy, hyper kid of the house that just managed to survive with his bright out-look on life. He also tended to follow after people, mostly their father, and do whatever it was they were doing. He was also born with very light white hair. Christoff, he was much darker in both appearance and personality. While Carmen didn't really get into scaring, Christoff did. He'd attempt to scare anyone he came across, everyone except his brother would get a surprise scare whenever possible. His mother was a stay home mom who took care of the two boys while her husband traveled for work. But when he was at home Carmen would follow their father around like a little puppy. Christoff did not. In fact, a part of him felt betrayed and abandoned by their father. He was even a little bit jealous of his brother for getting all of their father's attention. Or that was how it appeared to Christoff. Instead, Chris would leave the house more often, hanging out with his friends, or going out to scare people, or he'd go practice his scaring elsewhere. Besides, it was apparent, that whenever Christoff and his father were around each other they'd get into fights that would explode the house. Screaming and yelling would be able to be heard several doors down. They could hardly agree on anything and that was mostly because Christoff would disagree on purpose. He was a large part of the chaos in the house, though he would never admit that. Then of course at the age of 15 his father was gone for longer and longer. Just because Christoff felt hurt by his father, or was rebellious toward his father, that didn't mean he didn't care about his father. The longer he was gone the more worried Chris would become. To deal with the anxiety Chris began to distance himself from everyone. Even his dearest friends and his precious brother. He was in his room for hours on end without any contact with his family at all. He was afraid. But he didn't know how to express that fear, and so he bottled it up along with his jealousy and anger toward his father. It wasn't until one of his friends teased him about his father being in some kind of terrible trouble that he began to be dearly paranoid about it. Without anyone else knowing he began to follow his paranoia. He began to sneak around, looking for any information he could about his father. He became obsessed. For about a month he began to dig around. Nothing. Not until he saw that his brother had been digging too. It wasn't difficult to assume. When he realized that Carmen had found something he was absolutely sure that the boy would go after him. "Going to look for dad?" He asked his brother as he was on his way out. Their mother was asleep with no knowledge what-so-ever of the boys' intentions. Christoff knew that their mother would be hurt dearly by their disappearance. But the boys just had to find dad and Christoff couldn't allow his brother to go off alone. When he found out his brother's intentions he demanded to go along. If not then he would call their mother right then and there and tell her what Carmen planned to do. So Carmen agreed and the two boys left Halloween Town in search of their father. They landed on the maze world that Carmen had mentioned and immediately began to explore. Two weeks they were stuck in that maze. Two weeks they dealt with the pain and hardships of the monsters and riddles of the labyrinth. They both became very cranky and stressed when they got to the doors. There was a fight. Christoff knew that Carmen would know the idea of the doors better. He knew that he should have followed Carmen through the first chosen door. But he'd not only become stressed by the constant searching, he'd also been becoming more and more paranoid with the fact that their father was still missing. Once again allowing himself to become distanced from his brother. He didn't tell any of how he felt, and that cost him so much. The door that he chose had been a mistake. He fell and darkness took him. When he finally woke again he couldn't remember who he was. He couldn't even remember his own name or where he was from. He knew that there was a need for him to protect, but he didn't know who or what it was that needed protecting. Besides the protection, he had the greatest desires to scare people. He hadn't woken up alone though. Beside him was a woman. He asked her name, and in a strange tilt of the head the woman asked how it was he couldn't remember her name. Confused he mentioned that he couldn't even remember his own. Well she told him. "Your name is Risk." She said. "And you've lived with me all your life, my little monster." She told him this fantastical story about them both being from Halloween Town and that she had raised him from a newborn after finding him on the streets all alone. She told him that they'd done some awful things and that had gotten them both banished into the maze. She even told him that he was supposed to call her mother. Confused and having no other alternatives he believed her. He continued to live with her down in the maze, getting food for her and protecting her from all the monsters around. And yet. Her words were like poison to his heart and her nails were like nettles on his skin. She would verbally put him down, calling him a monster, a worm. With his abilities of being able to conjure other body parts around his body and wounds and scars, he began to believe her. He was no longer a citizen of Halloween Town that was made for bringing thrills to those around him that loved the shivers and chills. He was now a monster. Someone who growled to terrify. To bring horror. He was the other monsters that he had at one time protected some unknown memory from. He became one. However, not only was she verbal toward him, she was physically violent. It wasn't torture necessarily, more like Training. He became durable, immune to the pain that she inflicted onto him, both physically and emotionally. To the point where he was able to completely ignore physical pain all together. And despite all the pain she produced to him, she was his mother, how could he disobey? How could he abandon her? He couldn't. He couldn't abandon her. He felt like he'd already abandoned someone or something that he shouldn't have. That was what drove him. It would drive him completely mad, especially dreaming. Time passed and still he could not remember. Flashes, very very small flashes would come to him in the night, and it would always be the same. Yelling, yelling, chaos, hatred. Disembodied voices. Deranged voices that were so messed up that he couldn't even recognize them. Anger. So much anger. It was the flashes that made him the most paranoid. And it was after one of his flashes that he went into a blind rage and ended up killing his "mother." Completely horrified he ran. Having lived under the maze for so long his eyes had begun to fail him. Having lived in the darkness he learned how to fight, travel, and live within it without sight. Once his "mother" was dead, he ran. Ran ran ran. But then he ran into a room. A room that trapped him. He became trapped, unable to get out. It was as if the door that led him into the room just vanished. Desperately he tried to escape, but nothing worked. Nothing allowed him to step out of that room. What really had happened was he had found a mirror, and in this mirror the original inhabitant had found him and switched places with him. He became the new inhabitant of the mirror. The best part about it was he was never hungry or thirsty. But the silence and the boredom drove him mad. He began to talk to himself. Fight with himself. Back and forth, back and forth. There was no one else to talk to after all. |
