I RAISE MY HEAD AND STARE INTO THE EYES OF A STRANGER
I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES Four years had passed since Cyil last stepped foot in Radiant Garden. He felt a sudden urge to retrace the steps that led him to start his adventures across the worlds. His journey led him back to the unoccupied Fountain Plaza. Just like his first visit, the plaza seemed devoid of any life with only the occasional passerby; though this didn’t stop Cyil from dropping by. The isolated silence reminded him of the time he had permanently run away from his home, but these memories were no longer as painful as they once were. His heart no longer pounded heavily when his mind would trail back to them. After four years to himself, he had finally managed to put his past behind him. Or so he thought. Cyil aimlessly wandered into the plaza when there was a sudden noise from underneath him. Badum, bum, bum. What was that? he suddenly thought. Cyil’s eyes gazed down at his feet to see a bright red doll plastered with dirt lying before him. Cyil's blue eyes suddenly lit up as a child-like smile grew on his face. With a swift motion, he jerked the ball into the air with the tip of his right foot. His body began to sway as his eyes locked onto the ball. It struck against his head and bounced once more. Bum, bum, badum.
Cyil let out a small chuckle as his head followed the ball, balancing neatly as he slowly began to walk along the fountain. "Hup!" Cyil yelped lightly. He lobbed the ball into the air once more only to catch it with his ankle. Enamored by the sudden toy that was in front of him, he continued to play with it as if playing with a hackey sack. It was only recently that Cyil had suddenly begun to indulge himself with these strange pleasantries. He hadn't ever had the luxury to play around when he was focused on trying to become a keyblade apprentice. He was too narrow-minded to ever look at the world. ABIGAIL PARKINSON

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► Besides reading, running was her favorite pass time. It got her up and going and it took away the growing pain in her hands. She absolutely loved the fresh air that dropped her hood back and pulled at her long vine green hair. Her eyes bouncing up and down as her feet struck the ground and pushed off propelling her forward at amazing speeds. It had been awhile since she'd allowed herself to run like this. The cut link between her and Kotako had been painful in more ways then one. Her body was still recovering from the incident, physically and especially emotionally. But she was glad to have Jack and Solomon by her side. How had she always become good friends with men and not at all with any women? Meh, she didn't care. She knew what a fake man looked like. Kotako had shown her that. She'd reached the fountain and stopped for a moment, her breathing heavy, her chest heaving from the sharp pain. She wondered... Whether it had only to do with not running for awhile, or if it had to do with the disconnection. She sighed softly and then sat on the ledge of the Fountain for a few moments. Her legs were stiff and heavy as she pulled down her hair and started playing with it. The sweat on her brow causing it to stick around her face. She would take a shower when she got back to the apt. "Hup!" she heard and then the sound of a ball bouncing caught her attention. Her eyes turned onto a white haired male not far away throwing a small ball around like a hackysack. Intrigued she watched him quietly. Almost phasing out as she did. Her eyes watched the ball closely, but it soon shoved her into a flashback. "Abigail!" The voice was concerned as she fell to the floor. She was gasping for air. Gasping, gasping. Tears falling, streaming down her face. "Abigail... I don't know how to help... there's an apothecary not far from here. I'll carry you there..." The voice was so kind. So gentle. But she couldn't remember who's it was. With an intake of air she felt herself fall backwards and into the fountain she went, a scream escaping her lips. She struggled for a moment tossing water everywhere, but then realized what had happened and froze for a moment. She sat up soaking wet. Everything. Everything was soaking wet.

I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES Bum, bum, bum.Cyil had been so taken in by his little game that he hadn’t noticed the arrival or presence of the girl who had been watching him. By now he had begun to bounce the ball rhythmically against his ankle as if he were beating against a drum. His little performance, however, came to a screeching halt when the girl let out a loud cry followed by splashing. The ball flung into the air and slowly plummeted down, bouncing against the concrete before rolling away. His gaze looked aside at the girl who had managed to fumble into fountain. ”A mermaid in the fountain?” Cyil thought aloud. He tilted his head sideways as his interest in the ball waned and focused onto the girl. He let out a small chuckle: a sign that he was amused by the girl’s befuddled predicament. He quickly skipped over to her in an almost dancing motion and with little hesitation, hopped into the fountain with her; though he wouldn’t exactly make a splashing entrance. He towered over her and reached out with his right hand, pulling her up. He didn’t question or show any concern over her wellbeing; instead he simply invaded her personal space by inspecting her. He patted her on the back and returned to his starting position looking at her face to face with a wide grin. ”I’m Cyil!” he said in a perky voice. ABIGAIL PARKINSON

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► It was nice to have someone step into the fountain with her and help her up. Though it was a little strange how he actually allowed himself to just step into the fountain and get himself wet, rather then try to help her up from the dry ledge. It was, very noble of him she guessed, but it wouldn't have been what she would have done. As if that wasn't strange enough, once she took his offered hand and pulled her up, the man began to study her. Very... very closely. Suddenly afraid Abigail tried to pull away but was unable. Her wrist was now being held by the man and her heart dropped low into the pit of her stomach. Flashed images of the chicken crossed her mind's eyes as she watched him study her so closely. Then he let go of her hand and patted her back in a friendly manor. Her heart was racing so quickly that even a rabbit wouldn't be able to catch up to it. Then his face was so close to her own that she could feel his breath on her cheek. He said, "I'm Cyil!" In the happiest voice she'd ever heard that didn't belong to Jack. Well, of course, with all the built up anticipation she'd been holding, that was enough to cause her to jump and trip backward, back into the water. She gasped and then splashed a whole bunch of water at this one named Cyil. She wasn't exactly sure how else to respond. He hadn't been... mean per se. But he'd been very rude in the overstepping of her personal space. There were just too many guys who'd done that for it to be a save thing to do around her. Then she stopped, and looked up at him her expression full of concern. She'd been shocked in surprise, but because of his reaction toward her she'd labeled him. Abbi never liked to label people. She wanted to believe that there was good in everyone. "I...its not very nice to get that close to other people." She said, her voice shaking, but it wasn't unkind, just firm and nervous. "Its... Very uncomfortable. I don't like it."

I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES The way the girl had begun to panic was an amusing sight for Cyil. It was rather adorable to see how easily flustered she could get. It was completely obvious that she was uncomfortable with his sudden clinginess; especially when she had accidentally leapt back into the water in an attempt to distance herself from him. She even went as far as to splash the water against his face. Cyil winced from the sudden attack. It felt like an ice cold drink being thrown in his face. He wiped away the water from his face with his sleeves and just stared at the girl with a confused smile on his face. The expression on her face quickly shifted from fright to concern as she looked back up at him. She didn’t bother to help herself up and simply watched him from within the depths of the water. She began to speak slowly – her voice shaken by her strange encounter with him. "I...it’s not very nice to get that close to other people." she uttered, "Its... Very uncomfortable. I don't like it."Cyil quickly invaded her personal space once again, this time actually joining her in the water. He sat close to her and pointed to himself and exclaimed: ”I’m Cyil!” once again. He gave her another ecstatic smile. He acted as if he were a young boy who had suddenly found a new pet dog. He was, of course, teasing her for his own personal pleasure. He would introduce himself yet again in an almost innocent tone. ”I’m Cyil!”When he was finally done picking on the poor girl, he’d help her back on her feet. This time he stood a good three feet away from her. Cyil wouldn’t say much else and would instead watch her with a gleeful expression on his face. The only answer he would actually give her in response to all of her questions and concerns would be one simple phrase: ”I’m Cyil!” ABIGAIL PARKINSON

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► The white haired male paused for a moment and looked at her with a confused smile as if, that wasn't the reaction he was expecting from her, nor was it a reaction he'd gotten before. Well she wouldn't have known that, but it didn't seem to phase him at all because he was suddenly even closer to her then he was before. Having jumped into the water with her. He was so close to her she could feel him, but she couldn't go anywhere, the wall of the fountain kept her from backing up. So she just laid there pushing herself as close to the wall as possible. Away from him. Oh and he kept repeating his name. Why he was acting like a three year old child who had found a new friend and was excited to share his name with them as if he'd just learned how to speak that phrase. But she didn't cry out nor did she run away from him. Perhaps it was the child-like attitude that caught her attention, but it was quite interesting to her how he was simply trying to make her feel uncomfortable rather then try to take advantage. When he moved away from her he stood up and offered his hand to help her up again. For several silent moments she peered back up at him with a shocked expression on her face. After a couple moments though she hesitantly took his hand and allowed him to pull her back up. This time he stood a few feet away from her. And every time she would try asking him something he would just respond once again with his name. She looked at him with a blank face for a moment before finally realizing she hadn't even told him her own name. Glancing around the area she finally said. "I'm Abigail." He... actually kind of reminded her a little of Jack. Very childish. And yet. How did she always end up meeting the strange people? It wasn't just him. Kotako, Jack, Solomon, Lilith... She always met all the strange people. Maybe those were just the types she attracted? Perhaps she herself was strange? "You can call me Abbi if you want."

I RAISE MY HEAD AND STARE INTO THE EYES OF A STRANGER
I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES The entire time Cyil had been associating with the green-haired girl, she had been hesitant to get close to him. His eccentrically giddy mood seemed to put her off since she had been giving him a dumbfounded stare for quite a while now. An awkward silence loomed over the fountain plaza as the two stood around, gawking at each other with two very different expressions on their faces. The girl, after glancing around frantically, hesitantly broke the silent atmosphere by introducing herself to him. One would have thought Cyil’s face couldn’t get any brighter, but his eyes simply sparkled in glee after learning her name. Cyil got close to the girl once more, this time clasping both of her hands with his. He shook them wildly. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you Abbi! As you already know, I’m Cyil. My full name is Cyil Basco Valentina Pierre Eric Adalgar Kolten Lear Lancelot Berinhard Allard the second!” His lips were moving so fast that his speech seemed more like mumbling rather than speaking, yet somehow he still managed to sound completely coherent. "Ah, but yes, you can call me Cyil."His eyes beamed enthusiastically as he quickly tugged the girl along with him, leading her out of the fountain and away from the water. ”Now then, Abbi, what say you and I go on an adventure? Not a date. We hardly know each other after all; though I wouldn’t mind it if you treated me out for lunch.” Despite holding onto the girl, Cyil was light on his feet and already fleeted across a good ten feet with the girl in tow. He wasn’t giving her much of a choice – in fact, there weren't any decisions for her to make at all. Cyil had already concluded that the poor girl was going to chaperone him around the entire town. ”You know what though, we could also go visit the marketplace. I haven’t been there in ages! Ah. But I don’t really have any money right now. Oh who cares, we can just ogle at their wares. WINDOW SHOPPING AWAAAAAAAAAAY~”ABIGAIL PARKINSON

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► He got really close to her again, but this time it wasn't as close. He clasped her hands into his and shook them violently. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you Abbi!" He said rather quickly and excitedly. "As you already know, I’m Cyil. My full name is Cyil Basco Valentina Pierre Eric Adalgar Kolten Lear Lancelot Berinhard Allard the second!” Hearing his full name almost made her dizzy by how long and quickly he said it. Whether it was truly his full name or he was just making fun of her that way she couldn't tell. "Ah, but yes, you can call me Cyil." Oh good... She thought. She wouldn't have to try and remember a hundred billion names that were now making her feel very woozy. The boy was a hyper one alright. More so then Jack, which was a surprise. Jack was hyper enough, although he hardly ever got so close. When, and if, he ever did Abigail would move away from him and attempt to get some distance between the two. Not to make him upset. She did that with everyone. Except maybe Solomon, but he saved her life... majorly. And he didn't get very close to her very often anyway. And then he took one of her hands and began to pull her in the opposite direction of the fountain. Her eyes widened slightly as he dragged her away. ”Now then, Abbi, what say you and I go on an adventure? Not a date. We hardly know each other after all; though I wouldn’t mind it if you treated me out for lunch.” Her eyes widened as he spoke. She was out here to run. Why would she bring money while running? Why did she come out here alone in the first place? The boys had suggested not to. Maybe they were right. Her heart quickly sped up as familiar but unkind memories soon began to flood her thoughts and she began to try and pull away from him. She couldn't. There wasn't much choice but to follow him, as he held onto her hand tightly and was leading her along the streets. "Cyil!" She said, but the boy wasn't listening. She began tripping behind him, being unable to keep up completely. ”You know what though, we could also go visit the marketplace. I haven’t been there in ages! Ah. But I don’t really have any money right now. Oh who cares, we can just ogle at their wares. WINDOW SHOPPING AWAAAAAAAAAAY~” "CYIL! Please stop! Please!" She begged, trying to pull away. She couldn't. They were running too quickly for her to really do much with her other hand like try to force his to let go, or to pound on it. She couldn't really concentrate either. "STOP!" She screeched finally. Desperately begging him, tears beginning to slip from her eyes. "CYIL!"

I RAISE MY HEAD AND STARE INTO THE EYES OF A STRANGER
I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES In the midst of all of Cyil’s excitement, he had managed to tear away at the defenses around Abigail’s heart with relative ease. Her pelase for him to stop grew louder and louder, but there were no signs of him actually stopping. It wasn’t until her voice had begun to crack that he would come to a sliding halt. Cyil slowly turned back to see tears slowly trickle down from Abigail’s eyes and to her cheeks. He gently released her hand, staring back at her with genuine surprise. He blinked twice at her before advancing towards her again. This time though he moved without the same excitement he had before. He was mellow, quiet. He tugged at his right sleeve, moving the wet cloth away and wiped away Abigail’s tears with what was still dry. Cyil gave her a disappointed frown; though he was more upset at himself rather than her. He had teased her too much and this was the result. ”I’m sorry.” he said softly. ”I… got too excited about meeting someone new.”Cyil had always been bad at striking a new relationship. Abigail’s tears reminded him of that fact. While he had been striving to change himself, nothing had changed. Somehow, some way, he had still managed to make someone cry. It didn’t seem to matter how different he could act – he just didn’t seem to belong. Cyil pushed himself away from Abigail by backing away. His hands slid into his pockets as he just continued to watch her with a smile on his face. ”I’m sorry to have bothered you. It was still nice meeting you, but I think it’ll be better if I just stepped away and left you alone.” He was running away again, just like he did when he left the Land of Departure. It felt like that was all he was good for these days… running away. Cyil spun around slowly and began to walk away without looking back. He let out a small sigh as his gaze turned towards the sky. Boy, this wasn’t the nostalgia trip I was looking for. he thought to himself. It looked like he just couldn’t avoid making someone upset. ABIGAIL PARKINSON

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► Her desperate cries finally caught his attention and he came to a sliding stop. Not getting the memo she came slamming into him, and she stumbled back several steps before gaining some composure. When he turned back to look at her his expression of surprise was so genuine that she couldn't help but be shocked as well. He let go of her hand then. When he did she pulled it back to herself. She wished her sweatshirt were here. Her hood. When he began to dry her eyes from the tears that were like acid against her cheeks it was as if her body was no longer her own. She couldn't move. Her shock was hard. And it hurt. His expression was... so sad. So disappointed. He didn't seem like someone who would want to hurt her. And honestly, none of the way she looked like right now was his fault. They were all triggers. Triggers to a darker past. "I'm sorry." His voice was soft. Sad... ”I… got too excited about meeting someone new.” Then he pulled away from her. Pulled away and stuck his hands into his pockets. Seeing that reminded her of her own. They were shaking. She could feel them. But she didn't have her Hood. Which meant that she didn't have her pockets either. As he pulled away her heart suddenly broke for him. Why? Why did this keep happening? First Jack, then Kotako, then Solomon, and now this boy? Why did her heart break for them so badly? ”I’m sorry to have bothered you. It was still nice meeting you, but I think it’ll be better if I just stepped away and left you alone.” He was leaving. No... Thats not what she had wanted. When had she told him to leave? She hadn't. He then began to turn around and walk away from her. Abigail's heart suddenly dropped. No! Moving very swiftly she stumbled forward and grabbed his wrist with her shaking hands. "Cyil! Wait! When did I say you had to leave? When did I tell you I didn't want you around? Please don't leave yet. Its not your fault. Its not your fault." She said trying to pull him back, away from the opposite direction. Then she gasped at her own action and pulled away with red on her cheeks, full of embarrassment. "I'm sorry..." She said. "I... I didn't mean... to... um... That was... I just don't want... you to leave yet..."

I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES “—Wait!” Abigail cried out. Cyil hadn’t expected her to call out to him again, let alone actually grab him. She tugged against his arm, desperately trying to keep him from leaving. He turned back to her, surprised by what she had to say. She pulled away once more, her face completely red. Cyil lingered there in silence, waiting for the girl to finish her sentence. Disillusioned by his own child-like psyche, Cyil looked somewhat calm, more down to earth. He let out a sigh and rubbed the back of his neck. He knew that there wasn’t any reason for Abigail to apologize. He understood that he was wrong, but he couldn’t help but be surprised by the fact that she didn’t want him to leave just yet. ”You don’t need to apologize. He gave her a smile and slid his hands back into his pockets. ”Besides, I went a little too far with teasing you. It was really inconsiderate of me.Cyil slowly began to lean his toes and began to hover over Abigail who was hiding her face from embarrassment; though he kept a fair distance to keep her from growing too uncomfortable by his presence. He let out a small chuckle to himself as he quickly got over his self-loathing. He did manage to keep in mind Abigail’s preferences, or at least what he knew about her preferences so far. ”You know what though, now that I look at you seriously, you’re pretty cute! Especially when you get all fidgety and embarrassed like that.”Well. How about this for a proposal? Instead of just going around the marketplace, why don’t you show me around the sights? I know I mentioned this when I was rambling earlier, but I haven’t been in Radiant Garden in a few years. I won’t get all touchy like before, and who knows. Maybe we could get to know each other better?”Cyil always seemed to look proud whenever he mentioned that it had been a while since his last visit to Radiant Garden. He prided the fact that he had adventured around different worlds; though his choice did stem from his cowardice. Somewhere in his heart he held an immense love for the world which was what drew him back to it. ABIGAIL PARKINSON

I SIT AROUND JUST TO WATCH THE CLOUDS ► He told her not to apologize and that it was his own fault for teasing too much. Yes. She knew that he wasn't like Kotako. She still didn't know him, but something about his childish nature drew her toward him. When he leaned toward her she felt her heart flutter in some form of anxiety, but she didn't react to it in any other way. She needed to calm down. Of course, before she could he complimented on how cute she appeared and if at all possible she got redder. Then only compliments she got were from Kotako and those just... weren't real. She knew for a fact. Oh she wished she had her sweatshirt. "Th..Thank you Cyil..." She said softly, attempting to hide her cheeks with her hands. ”Well. How about this for a proposal? Instead of just going around the marketplace, why don’t you show me around the sights? I know I mentioned this when I was rambling earlier, but I haven’t been in Radiant Garden in a few years. I won’t get all touchy like before, and who knows. Maybe we could get to know each other better?” He was asking her to show him around and then maybe allow them to get to know each other better. Know each other better? She nodded at him and turned away for a moment, trying to take slow breaths to calm herself down. When she had calmed herself a little bit she turned back to Cyil and allowed herself a nervous smile. "If you've been here before, you would know this place at least a little bit right? Is there anywhere you'd like to see?" She asked, a bit softer then she had meant to.
