the worst case scenario is you Nah she wasn't slacking. Or at least that's what she was telling herself for the past ten minutes. Well, it's not as if she hadn't been pulling her weight right? She was warranted some small amount of alone time all things considering. She couldn't be expected to keep at it with no rest periods. "Hm." A clawed finger flicked to the next page of the leather-bound book.
Shane found herself perched atop some non-sequential building. The young girl hadn't really thought must as to where she should chose to stay but this roof seemed adequate enough. Blue eyes snuck a peek to the streets below, absolutely crowded. It sent an uneasy tingle down her spine at the thought of being trapped in such an amass of strangers. Hence her preference for being up as high as she was; it still gave her a good view of her surroundings should anything happen, which she sincerely hoped wouldn't.
But of course that would have been too much to ask for! The distant crash coupled with dappled cries of either shock or horror were enough for the odd being to gather up her spear and save on unnecessary travel time by leaping straight down onto the cobblestones below. "Where did that come from?" The ears beneath her hat rotated back and forth trying to pick up traced of distant destruction but it didn't help much. 'Suppose I have no choice but to run blindly in the opposite direction these people are running from.'@open | ### | - - -
