[HEARTLESS] apollo

Appearance

Almost exactly like the hover images. He's a pretty simple being and cares little about his appearance in general. He didn't come with anything except his white shirt, blue pants, and shoes anyway. The black under his eyes is part of his skin. 

He is a bit tall, standing at 5'7" at his full height,  but he prefers to sit in a balled up position. Its almost like a protective ball that he sits in. He does walk on his feet like a human, but not as often as he should.

While he has no qualms about touching other people himself or touching objects, he absolutely despises the idea of someone else touching him. He'll go into protective cat mode and lash out at everything that comes near him. 

Personality

SILENCE: The first thing anyone may notice about Apollo's personality is the fact that he hardly ever talks. He can write. Mostly his name. He doesn't really have much to say anyway. He'll mostly talk though gestures, motions, and expressions. It is entirely unknown if he actually can talk or not. Although, if known his history, which he doesn't even remember, it can be found out that he does know how to speak. He simply doesn't want to.

CURIOUS: Apollo is curious about everything. He'll wonder around a room and touch and look at anything or anyone he finds interesting. It seems like a childish type of curiosity that causes him to pick up things that most other people wouldn't want him to touch, and he may have to be told not to several times before he gets the picture. But really, its all about taking in information. Its about knowing one's surroundings well enough. It may seem strange, but its a defensive tactic. 

APATHETIC: Despite the curiosity streak, Apollo can seem very apathetic, and even lazy at times. Heartless normally eat the hearts of others, but he doesn't seek to care about that. In fact, he'll go and eat whatever human type food he can find. (Mostly candy or sugary foods). He'll appear to care very little about the people that he is around. And most scary situations don't bother him at all. Weapons don't scare him. The dark doesn't scare him. The only thing that seems to bother him is when people try to touch him. 

SHADOW KING: Despite his childish and animal like behavior, Apollo is not foolish or dumb. Its not known whether this is all an act or its really just his personality, but Apollo is very intelligent. He's the manipulator from the shadows. He's a creative idealist, with plans of his own. Not that any of them truly interest him at the moment, nor does he really know what they mean, but he can strategize and tell when he should be wary of someone or not. Do not underestimate him, or you may end up horribly dead. For he has no care for life or death, and is not afraid to kill someone to gain something. (Although, getting into motivation is mostly his biggest hassle. He currently has no desire to fight.)

FORGETFUL: This isn't to say that he forgets things easily. In fact his memory is almost picture perfect. No. He has forgotten everything about himself except his name. Apollo. It is like he has been reborn into someone else. Although he is searching desperately for the shadow of a being that he calls "Artemis," he has no desire to know who he had been. He couldn't care less.

SIMPLE MINDED: Its almost adorable how simple minded Apollo can seem. He's curious about anything he sets his eyes on, and can be easily lured with candy. And he may have taken on this dog-like instinct and behavior, but he's not so simpleminded that he can't think for himself. He's simply been through a lot and its as if his mind has decided it was time for him to take a break from all of the pain he's gone through. 

HORRIFYING: There is another side of Apollo that is simply horrifying to see. Its not like the wild eyes he gets when he's being touched by someone. Its a dark, intimidating, cold shoulder kind of being. This part of him is seen very rarely and only when he truly feels threatened by something. He'll stand up at his full height, emitting an aura of depression and fear. This isn't much of a fighting tactic, more of a defensive one. But he can fight within it, as the feelings have no effect on him. He uses the darkness directly as his weapon, almost taking it from his own body and creating shadow versions of other people's weapons.

History

He'd been born and had grown up with the most important person in his entire life. His twin sister was absolutely everything to him. Having been named Apollo and Artemis after the two gods the names simply went into their heads. They grew up in a dark world. One that was a nightmare to those who weren't strong enough. If you were weak, you were simply eliminated. The twins had to survive. They had to live. So they became two of the most popular kids in school. Artemis being the open minded one who spoke in front of people and charmed those she did, and Apollo being the critical thinker. Artemis had been the people person, having had the amazing ability to negotiate and inspire. Apollo was the idealist, the behind the scenes puppet master. 

They became friends with a demon who they later ditched for another. This demon became very jealous and began to torture them with dreams of death and pain. Every single night he effected them with this.

Because they were fed up with the nightmares and bad dreams they ended up meeting a stranger who made a deal with them. All they had to do was agree. He turned them into a heartless without their knowledge and gave them a way to transport between worlds.

The two of them became mentally bonded, becoming like one person. They had the same mind, with two bodies. Apollo was barely able to keep himself from being completely consumed by the bond and continued to be the shadow king of the two, placing subtle ideas into the mind of them both. Through their years of travel, their sanity slipped little by little. Leaving them with almost nothing. 

The Worlds themselves tried to kill them simply because they would refuse to accept them and the items that were with them. The transported was dangerous and the worlds could feel it. So it would try to use deadly accidents or hostile figures to kill them, but they were survivors and would slip out of those situations with whatever they could. Did people die in the process? Maybe, but the twins didn't care. They would kill anything that got in their way without second thought. They would have left the worlds quickly if they could, but the transporter had a two day recharge time.   

Then Apollo fell in love with a girl. The incident is still unknown but somehow She died and that caused them to transfer one more time. To the World that Never Was. On the way the Transporter shattered and broke their twinly bond and causing their minds to unlink. This left devastating effects on them both. For Apollo, he completely forgot who he was and became very instinctual rather then a thinker.

It wasn't long before a local resident found Apollo and took him in among the nobodies that called themselves the Organization lllX.
