IlmaxI WALK A LONELY ROAD, THE ONLY ONE THAT I HAVE EVER KNOWN. DON'T KNOW WHERE IT GOES, BUT IT'S HOME TO ME, AND I WALK ALONE. I WALK THIS EMPTY STREET, ON THE BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS. He couldn't read, because he was blind, but he could listen to someone read to him. One of his underlings had been chosen this day to help him simply with reading. They weren't exactly the most excited Nobody in the organization, but Alyxx didn't care and wouldn't take anything less then cooperation. If this Nobody wanted to fight him in his decision, then Alyxx would have no problem putting them in more grunt work.
However, Alyxx was getting quite bored just listening to reports from the different Org members' travels. He needed something else to do, or he was going to fall asleep. Before he could say or do anything though, there was a knock on his door and he raised an eyebrow in curiosity. Alyxx heard shuffling from the chair beside him, indicating that the other nobody had begun to rise from their seat to get the door, but Alyxx motioned for them not to. Instead he stood up himself and walked over to the door and opened it. "Yes?" He asked.
"The boss wants to see you... Er... Meet with you Alyxx. She's in her room at the moment waiting for you."
The voice came from another of the members of the organization. Alyxx nodded and turned to speak with the one who had been begrudgingly reading to him. "You may leave. You can have the rest of the day off, as I will have no more need for you today. Lock the door behind you and don't touch anything that doesn't belong to you." With that he made his way out of the room and down the hallway to the Room of Number one. Once he arrived, he knocked on the door, his knuckles rapping in a specific tune that was created for the two of them only, to know it was them specifically.

| 0243 words  commentary | It had been a long day of tests and experiments. Ilmax was always busy with her research into the darkness. What was it, How did it come into being? All questions Ilmax sought to answer. Until she obtained the knowledge she thirsted for Ilmax had to be patient.
A knock on the door brought Ilmax out of the trance-like state she was in. It came on whenever she read the reports she demanded her subordinates make. A concise essay on whatever they learned about the darkness. Without hesitating a moment, Ilmax opened the door to her room, the special knock she had devised for her second in command to announce himself told her who it was.
"Alyxx, come in." She commanded, still seated behind her desk. Her power had opened the door without her moving from where she was. "Sit." She gestured to the chair opposite her. "You must be curious as to why I wished to see you." She stated simply.
After pausing to allow Alyxx a chance to speak she continued. "Simply, I have request to make of you." Shuffling through the papers on her desk she fond the report she sought and handed it to Alyxx. "There is a new being that has began appearing on several worlds. The tentative name I have given them is 'Unversed'."
Unversed. Something new and as of yet, unexplained. Ilmax did not like not knowing something. "What are your thoughts on them?" She inquired. |

{  } When she gave him the report he took it and set it on his lap as he continued to gaze in her direction. His attention was more on her voice then anything else, analyzing the way she spoke and testing her movements through the vibrations in the air. He would have someone else read it to him later... Or he would find some other way of getting the information. He didn't know how closed off this information was. Perhaps he should just ask for it in digital form so he could put it on his special tablet. "What are your thoughts on them?" Unversed. Intriguing name. "Not much. They are unlike both the heartless and the nobodies and make me wonder about their origin. So far they don't seem to be much of an issue, but that issue is growing and could become a problem if we continue to ignore them."He spoke neutrally. There was never much emotion in his tone when he spoke to the other nobodies, but he wasn't disrespectful. He didn't sound bored at all. Just blank. | 0242 words commentary | Alyxx was intelligent and loyal. These two traits were what caused Ilmax to elevate him to the position of her second in command. "Not much. They are unlike both the heartless and the nobodies and make me wonder about their origin." The young man answered his superior, Ilmax smiled at his answer. "So far they don't seem to be much of an issue, but that issue is growing and could become a problem if we continue to ignore them."
"My thoughts exactly Alyxx." Ilmax agreed. Her own thoughts were filled with theories regarding the origin of these creatures. "As for what I need from you." She tapped her fingers against her desk. "I want you to investigate a world that recently began to be infested with Unversed." She looked at the map on her wall, all of the worlds were located on it. The one she was referring to held a special place in her former self's heart. No longer of course, Ilmax kept that heart hidden away, no need to bring more weakness into her life.
"Destiny Islands." The name hung in the air. Ilmax could remember how Mila used to feel about that world, stifling and boring. The woman she used to be was grateful when she left. And now Ilmax has become more than Mila ever thought possible. "If you desire you may take someone with you, I do prefer to keep this investigation small, no more than three."

{ } Alyxx listened, ignoring the little pause in between that and her answer. It was rather interesting just how "excited" ilmax seemed by this investigation. Not excited exactly. More like... Intrigued. Alyxx himself was rather interested in the "Unversed," but not interested enough to care for their existence. "Destiny Islands..."The happiest place on earth... got it. While Alyxx wasn't the Jokester kind of man, he certainly couldn't care less for the isles. Beautiful, but rather boring in of itself. There was no real mystery there, or adventure. The people were Naive about the worlds outside their own. "Destiny Islands? Are you kidding me? The heartless don't nest there long. And if they do they are mostly lesser shadows. There is not enough darkness there to draw them in and the light is sleepy enough not to bother them."
"Then I want you to go and find out why they aren't drawn specifically to Destiny Islands."
"How long are you going to stick me there?"
"Until you find something interesting."
"You... I make one mistake and you send me to Destiny Islands as a punishment? Dammit..." FLASH! When Alyxx came back from his memory he dropped his head and lifted his fingers to rub his temples. Dammit... The memories were starting to get worse... He'd thought that meeting that boy, Mikhail, would have stopped the memories from coming altogether. But now they came at the worst times and were simple trivial memories. They didn't even seem important to who he was anymore. Who was that voice he'd been talking to? And what mistake had he made to be sent there to Destiny Islands? In any case, he needed to get back in the game. Instantly he gave all attention back to his boss, nodding his approval. "I'll take Dax. He may be a big pain, but he does good when he works with me and has a good eye for detail."MADE BY VEL OF GS |
