I WALK A LONELY ROAD  ▼ » He couldn't stop thinking about her. The constant begging that flashed through her eyes. The desperate need for that brother that he had no idea if he even existed or not. Her voice asking, over and over again. Is he here yet? Is he here yet? Her behavior was off. Doctor had found a broken link. One that was snapped in complete half. It seemed it would be nearly impossible to place back together without the other half. But who even was the other half? Artemis was pretty emotionally unstable. It was as if she held the emotions and personalities of two people put together. Perhaps her... brother... wouldn't have emotions?
Alyxx thought about this to himself as he walked down the hall. It was strange for him to day dream like this. It wasn't a natural thing for him to do, but her behavior was so different. He would have to experiment more. She would probably be a very strong adversary if she were to have her mind restored. But what if Alyxx and Daxior couldn't restore it without the other half. If he could only just find this brother, then perhaps he could have more or his questions answered. He suddenly stopped for a couple moments and stood to the side so that other people could pass him if necessary. That was, until, the stench of a Heartless drifted into his vicinity. Intriguing. A heartless in the Castle that Never Was? Normally they would have been taken care of by now... And of course it just had to be in his own room that he caught the scent. The first thing he noticed had been the shape of the figure that was known as a 'heartless.' This heartless was a humanoid shape. Interesting... Of course at this moment he cleared his throat and at the very least caught the attention of the Heartless. |

Be careful, you are not inwonderland -- Out of all the rooms Apollo could have chosen, he chose Alyxx's. Xander tried telling him no a few times, but the heartless's curiosity was just too strong. The door was unlocked so he had gotten in in seconds, and the nobody followed him closely. If it was anyone else he would have grabbed them by their hair and yanked them out of the room. Making sure to give them a nice case of whiplash for not listening to him. But this was Apollo. Apollo didn't like being touched, and he respected that. He didn't really need him to get upset in Alyxx's room either. That would end in disaster. ...More of a disaster than it already was. If he could just get Apollo out of the room within five minutes. There was no chance Alyxx would be back by then...Where even was he? Probably doing official Organization business. As per usual... That is what he usually did right? Xander really didn't know that much about how he spent his time did he? Well he could find out by looking around himself.... No that wasn't a good idea. They had to get out of here. Now. He rubbed his temples trying to think of a way other than resorting to begging. That's when he heard someone clear their throat. The nobody put his face in his hands in annoyance. Oh great. The worst possible outcome had happened. Not only was he caught red handed in a higher-up's room. But he had a heartless with him. A heartless he hadn't really officially told anyone about. I should've just tackled him when he reached for the doorknob...“Well, this is awkward~.”An uneasy grin curled onto Xander's lips. It really was. Awkward, and slightly terrifying. The nobody wasn't sure if he was more worried about his own skin or the heatless's. Everything was going so great too.... I need to invest in a leash... |

I WALK A LONELY ROAD ▼ » He could have possibly assumed that Xander was attempting to kill the heartless that had somehow ended up in the Castle and specifically in his room, but neither of the two humanoid creatures seemed to have high amounts of adrenaline or any kind of hostility toward the other.
However, for the moment, Alyxx wasn't too concerned with the fact that one of his underlings was in his room. His attention, despite being completely blind, was on Apollo. The heartless was currently standing in the middle of his room staring right back at him with a serious intensity that Alyxx had only seen in himself. There was no movement for several moments and even then it was Apollo who moved.
The Heartless took the blank moment to move toward Xander. He didn't know what to expect, as he was sure Xander could take care of himself should the heartless decide to attack him. But that didn't seem to be the motive here. Apollo's movements were slow, not to cause any alarm, his eyes fixed on Alyxx in a dangerous way. He may not have been able to see Apollo's eyes, but he could feel the intensity burning a hole into his chest.
It stopped right in front of Xander, almost protectively. This Heartless moved on the ground, much like shadows did, strange Artemis didn't. But when he stopped in front of Xander, it stood up to it's full height. Interesting. What was this? A Heartless and a Nobody, not even necessarily being of the same soul, companions. He wondered what Xander did to get the Heartless to stand up for him like that.
Apollo didn't move from that spot. Not directly in front of him, but in front and off to the side so that Xander wasn't caught behind Apollo being unable to see what was going on.
"Connecting yourself with Heartless are we Xander? Don't you know how dangerous that could be. Especially if the heart is not your own." He was painfully aware for eh similarities between this Heartless and the one in his hidden prison cell. Could this be the lost brother that she wants so much to see. Could this be the one he would need to repair the link? |

Be careful, you are not inwonderland -- It was really amazing, what a couple pieces of candy could achieve. Xander's jaw almost dropped when Apollo stood up like that. He stared at the heartless as if he just randomly started blurting out nonsense. This really wasn't the time or place for him to be getting protective. They were in Alyxx's room. If anything he should be the one getting protective over his personal space. The heartless was the only one that could be harmed in this situation. At least, physically. So shouldn't Xan be the one protecting him? He was a bit too shocked to do much else at that moment. It would be painful to watch if anything were to happen. After all he was getting attached to him. No, he was attached to him. Xan was constantly pretending to have emotions. It was second nature to do what he believed a somebody would do in some situations. And if for some reason he ended up with a dead heartless, he'd act heartbroken. Wouldn't that be inappropriate. Though, all concern aside. It was almost “heart-warming”. Seeing Apollo act this way. He must've been doing something right to earn it. He wasn't positive what though. It couldn't just be candy related. There was no way that heartless was that simpleminded. “Calm down, Apollo. he's not a threat...”To me at least...The nobody said, concern leaking into his tone. Things weren't looking too grim so far. And he wasn't above begging if the situation took any sort of bad turn. It was about all he could do. Maybe I respect them all too much... He took a few steps forward, putting himself next to Apollo, as opposed to behind. The nobody turned his attention back to Alyxx. Connecting...This really was dangerous wasn't it? It quite feel like it. Most of his caution had been drifting out the window as of late. But how would he know just how dangerous it was... Had he done it himself by chance? Or at least tried.
“....I've been careful with him, and everything seems to be going rather well so far..."
Xander wasn't sure if that was the right way to answer. It was the truth. But was it worded right? His nerves had made his mind foggy.. .Well his fake nerves. Where even was his head at at this point? "Besides, if anything were to go wrong, I could handle it easily enough" |

{  } There were a few moments of silence as he was sure Xander would have some kind of reaction to the heartless and the words Alyxx himself had spoken. The other man told the heartless to stand down and then moved to stand beside him. Curiouser and Curiouser. Already he was studying the strange behavior of the heartless that stood before him. He hadn't said a single word since Alyxx had even stepped into the room, it was as if he was a dog and Xander was its master. That was what this "Apollo" reminded him of. That was his name it seemed. Apollo... He really had heard that name before now hadn't he? Artemis... She had mentioned it within the first few seconds of their meeting. So this was her brother. But Xander had found him and taken him on as a companion... Dammit... Either his chance at recombining the twins was completely shattered or this would be his best chance at doing so. Although he was sure that, Xander being attached to this heartless would make his study a lot more difficult. “....I've been careful with him, and everything seems to be going rather well so far..."When Xander spoke his thoughts seemed to be far away. It was the reason why Heartless and Nobodies were separate after all, wasn't it? Besides... how could a nobody become so attached to a heartless? He'd not seen that happen before. "Besides, if anything were to go wrong, I could handle it easily enough."Alyxx closed his eyes and sighed as he began to move over to the desk that sat near the back end of the room. In his arms he held a thick file. When he reached the desk he opened a drawer and placed the file into it. "Its not that the heartless could hurt you Xander. I would just advise that you not get too attached to him."Then he sat down in a chair that was sitting beside the desk and turned his attention back to Xander. "Now to the point of why you are in my room. Its possible that your little friend got curious... But was there something that you needed?"His voice was very level, calm with very little emotion mixed within it. Alyxx hated emotions. They only got in the way. Be careful, you are not inwonderland -- Get too attached... Xander didn't think it would be possible. After all, the nobody didn't have a heart. The lack of one made it seem unlikely that he could get really attached to anything. It was a shame really. If there was one thing he would want to get attached to, it was Apollo. After all he was the one companion he had that he didn't mind having around twenty-four seven. Though it also wasn't the most comforting thing to hear. What are you going to take him away at some point? Would you even care to do so if he wasn't a threat? His red eyes darted over to the heartless then back at the second in command. There were a lot of things that could come of this situation. The only thing he knew for certain, was that he wouldn't let the heartless go easily. Not because he was attached...But because he put too much effort into keeping him around... Maybe he was already attached...Sort of like he was to any other item he favored. Like his sunglasses...Maybe. The nobody nodded quickly. As much as he could've questioned that statement. As much as he felt like he should've. Xander decided against it. He could bring it up later. Under less awkward circumstances. “ I see...”Xander blinked for a moment. His mind drawing a blank. Yes his friend was curious about the room. He was heading in this direction though... Oh, that's right! The nobody did have information to bring back to him. He was originally going to announce it with an audience. After all, it was just the tip of what seemed to be a massive iceberg. “Oh right.. Yes I had an incident to report.”The battle he had recently...In Traverse Town, with that... That cocky little heartless. It all came flooding back and Xander couldn't help but grind his teeth at the thought of him. Milo. He was strong, but annoying. That was the only redeeming quality the nobody could think of when it came to him.
“I got into a bit of a fight with a heartless in Traverse Town. He seemed to have been up to something. Something major from the looks of it... Oh and the brat had a keyblade, and little to no fear of me.”He kept his voice low and quiet. Even with the excitement of bringing this up growing in the nobodies chest. He watched Alyxx closely. He had never been able to easily read him. But he hoped that this was as good of information as he thought it was. |

{ } Once he was sure that his subordinate understood or didn't, but responded like he did, Alyxx ignored the subject completely. He would get his hands on that heartless. However, it would not become part of his ever growing obsession. He knew it was getting worse. He wanted to know the potential of the twins. He wanted to know if he could use them in the growing darkness. But he couldn't do it without the brother, whom he could currently feel burning holes into his face. “Oh right.. Yes I had an incident to report.” An incident report? Better be good if he had to sneak into Alyxx's room to tell it. Honestly, he didn't suspect anything interesting, but he was willing to listen anyway. And he was not disappointed. “I got into a bit of a fight with a heartless in Traverse Town." At first, he felt the report was going to be a waste of precious time. "He seemed to have been up to something. Something major from the looks of it...” It got interesting but still Alyxx wasn't convinced. All Heartless seem to be up to something in their own way or another. Apollo briefly crossed his mind. “Oh and the brat had a keyblade, and little to no fear of me.” Alyxx knit his eyebrows slightly. Other then that, there would be no more of a facial reaction. A Heartless with a Keyblade? Was that even possible? Surely Xander was telling a joke. No. He heard the lamp beside him hum. It always did that. It was so he could see within his room at all times. The sound waves that emitted into the room echoed back at him when they hit a solid object. Xander was definitely excited. He couldn't possibly be lying about something like this. "Tell me what happened." That wasn't a question. That was an order. If he'd been uninterested, he would have stopped Xander then and there. But an idea was now forming in his head. Be careful, you are not inwonderland -- Thank the maker Alyxx was interested. That this report wasn't going to be mixed in a giant ever growing pile of semi-important paper work. He wanted to hear it, and Xander was gladly going to tell him all about it. Not that he had much of a choice, it was an order after all. All that sweat, and injuries were turning to be worth something more than just a simple way of passing time. It filled him with a bit of purpose. He stood up straight, getting ready to spill all the beans. The nobody started the report by explaining the first thing he saw Milo do. His language was more professional than colorful so far. No curse words. Just a monotone explanation. He explained that the heartless disposed of the lady's body after the lesser heartless attacked. As strange as it was, then about him just approaching and conversing with Xander. Introducing himself as “Milo.” How Milo tried to leave once the nobody started trying to get info. He went on to speak of the information he got out of him, the way he acted, and bits and pieces of the fight. Not so big on the details though, just the important pieces. The memories of the fight started to get to him a little. In fact, he could feel a bit of adrenaline again. This lead to him slipping in some not so professional language. “The bastard kept getting more and more defensive the more I prodded about the possibility he had a boss. It was adorable really... Very protective.” He continued on a bit more, but didn't spend much time explaining the end of the fight. It was a draw, a tie, a stalemate. It was frustrating to Xander, but it was the best way to end it all. At least, it seemed like it at the time. “I let him off with some injuries. I figured we could tail him later...After all, we have his name. It wouldn't be hard to dig up dirt on him now. Plus who wouldn't forget someone like that? It shouldn't be too hard to find out where he's hiding out..”With all of that off his chest, Xander seemed more comfortable than he was earlier. Reporting in pushed all the embarrassment out the window. “Maybe there's more information there. Maybe he has some neighbors who'll spill if poked hard enough. { } There was a long pause that came from Alyxx. He'd listened very intently at the story. A boss huh? Something seemed strangely familiar about this story to Alyxx. Anyway, Milo needed to be monitored. But from the conversation Xander had told him, the little punk could easily tell the difference between a heartless and a nobody. He would need a different approach. Of course his mind automatically drifted to the only one who wasn't a nobody in the room. Perhaps... Nah... Would Xander even agree to that? He would have to toss the idea out discreetly. It important. Unfortunately it was more important than his desired tests. He would be forced to wait if Xander agreed. "Xander. Thank you for telling me. First, I'd like you to keep this information under lock and key. Don't tell anyone else. I'll talk to Ilmax about it myself." This would assume Alyxx as the only enforcer and receiver of the information. He would talk to his boss of course. But if the rest of the organization found out he'd have a lot of problems and paper work on his hands. "Secondly I have a very special mission for you. Milo isn't my main concern. But he has a Keyblade. While I'd like to know how he achieved such a goal even that isn't the highest priority in this situation. I need to know who it is that he follows so closely and who it is that is strong enough to have a Heartless Keyblader among their ranks. Be careful, you are not inwonderland -- First, I'd like you to keep this information under lock and key. Don't tell anyone else.Well that should be simple enough. Xander was good at keeping secrets. Well, there wasn't anyone else he would tell about it. He wasn't particularly talkative with other members. He stayed strictly business with most of them. And as much as he originally had wanted to boast about his find, he would obey this order. Anyways, he could boast even more later if this lead to further breakthroughs. This was exciting. Secondly I have a very special mission for you. He nodded quickly and listened carefully to the next order...Gather more information, figure out the leader. That didn't sound very hard at all in theory. But as with most things, it was going to be a tall order. Nothing Xander couldn't handle of course. Just how was he going to figure it out. Of course, his first stop would be to snoop around Milo. Something in his routine was sure to show who his master was. However, it was going to be tricky. The heartless could tell what he was by just glancing at him. Not only that but he knew his face well. There was bound to be a conflict at some point. Whether it be with him, or other underlings. Strategy was going to be everything to make sure it didn't happen early.He was sure to have many a sleepless night ahead of him. He may not be able to come back here very often once he gets a move on it all. That would leave Apollo alone... He could survive on his own just fine. But what if the others try something while he was gone? Then again maybe Apollo could help? Now that the nobody thought about it, it seemed like a completely logical idea. He was a heartless after all. He wouldn't be as conspicuous. In fact, he could probably send him in undercover... But Xander wasn't even close to being sold on the idea of using him in this. He was safer here then there. He would risk losing his own life in a mission, not his pet's. Maybe once he got a good taste of what all they were up against, he'd think about it.
“Of course. Have I ever failed you yet?”Xander said with a grin and bowing his head. He'd get the information and more if possible. No matter what it took. Maybe he'd end up in a conflict with that runt again. He'd enjoy it if it happened. He'd be more prepared this time. There wouldn't be a tie, no. Xander would tear him to shreds. It would be tremendous. “I'll get on it first thing tomorrow morning...Unless you want me to go now?” Maybe this whole night wasn't going to be as much of a train wreck as he had first thought. Sure it started awkward and horrible, but it lead to something good. ■ALYXX■##■...this is kinda bad sorry |

{ } A smile actually touched Alyxx's lips. It was small and indistinct, but a smile all the same. "Of course not."Responding like this was very rare for Alyxx. He wasn't the most amusing of people and so jokes and sarcasm and comments like this didn't come easily to him. But he'd come to understand the respect that Xander had for him. “I'll get on it first thing tomorrow morning...Unless you want me to go now?”At that Alyxx turned away from his underling and opened another drawer from his desk. He pulled out a small digital pad and offered it in Xander's direction. Despite being blind he was interestingly accurate in the direction that he had chosen to send it. "Start when you like, although you are aware of my preferences. And you can use this to record any thing you come across." He didn't tell him that the tablet was connected to his own and would send all entries to himself. "Please try to record as much as possible. This will keep your information from falling into the hands of others. Only you and I will be able to access the information within this. Be careful, you are not inwonderland -- Xander reached out and took the digital pad carefully. Looking it over quite a bit once he had it in his hands. While also listening carefully to Alyxx's directions. This would definitely make things easier. No need to worry about losing notebook pages. The nobody just had to make sure he didn't accidentally break the thing while in the process of gathering information. The pad was probably much sturdier than Xander was giving it credit for. “Got it...”
He held onto it tightly, and gave Alyxx another nod. Of course he would only use it for the current mission. Any other duties he had were going to be put on hold for this. He also wouldn't write his personal thoughts on anything that he couldn't burn. Easily and without repercussions that is. He wasn't sure what to say or do next. Besides the quick question at Apollo. He could dismiss himself, and his companion. But he couldn't be sure if there was anything else he needed to know about the mission. Might as well get all the questions out of the way now while he had the chance. It would be better than having to come back later, and possibly bother him more. “Is there anything else I should do?”Or keep in mind for that matter... His red eyes flicked over to Apollo, hopefully his curiosity was sated at this point. At least, when it came to Alyxx and his room. As nice as it was to turn in that report in person, and to get a nice big assignment, Xander didn't want to end up in this situation again. Or better yet, he didn't want Apollo wandering in here while he was off working. The nobody couldn't be quite sure what would happen to the heartless if he got caught doing that. But it wouldn't be anything good. Alyxx wasn't the type to give out candy to strange snoopy heartless. That was Xander's shtick after all. |

"Yeah, This won't happen again. Learn to keep your friend under some sort of control. I don't want him becoming a liability. And I don't want it to be known that you came in here. I'd rather other nobodies staying away from the idea."He stood up and walked over to his door. "Thank you for stopping by, the information you provided me was brilliant. Lets try not to make this kind of thing a habit. If you need to talk to me about anything... important... Feel free to knock on my door." Then he reached for the knob and opened the door. Xander could breathe a sigh of relief. Keeping Apollo out of trouble shouldn't be too hard. And was much much better than the things that Alyxx could have ordered. This was pretty much just a slap on the wrist. The nobody glanced over at Apollo. Giving him a look similar to a teacher scolding a student before beckoning him along. He followed Alyxx to the door, hopefully with the heartless following behind. He crossed his arms. Brilliant, eh? That fed his ego a bit. The nobody was looking forward to this mission. Proving himself even more, the possibility of fighting Milo again. It was going to be tremendous “Oh I don't plan on it. I'll be more, professional next time.” There was a bit of nervous laughter at the end of Xander's sentence. Emulating a bit of emotion in there. Getting the practice in. Besides, it was fitting for the current situation. “Alright...Goodnight.” With that Xander nodded and quickly slipped out the door, calling for Apollo to follow and glancing back to make sure he was already doing so. Like earlier, he was more concerned with getting out of there. Originally, he was thinking about taking away Apollo's candy for the night as punishment. But at the same time he felt like celebrating a little before heading off on his mission. Maybe, he could just. Scold him for it. That could stick. He'd also take the heartless with him tomorrow. Just to make sure he didn't end up back in Alyxx's room while he was gone. The first day should be the safest anyways. It was just going to consist of Xander finding a good starting place and falling into the routine. "If you ever EVER do that again, you can say goodbye to candy for a month."Xander said, as if scolding a puppy. He didn't even glance back at Apollo. Hopefully that warning would be enough. After all, the nobody wasn't fond of having to discipline him. His underlings, sure he'd kick them in place. But Apollo was literally like a cat. Too flipping adorable to be mean to. ■ALYXX■##■...well that ended okay |
